Solution Designer role is hands on, engaging with business partners directly to understand the requirements and implement improvements to existing solutions and also deliver new capabilities to the platform.

The day to day

  • Provide solution design across full project lifecycle, ensuring that the solution aligns with solution architecture and business requirements.
  • Ability to work closely with the Project/Integration Architects and identify any potential gaps and risks in within the solution architecture.
  • Provide assessment of high-level design options to meet architecture principles in order to identify non-functional requirement related issues (Security, Capacity, Performance).
  • Provide high level indicative cost when required and later work on the detailed design to ensure solutions conform to strategic roadmap and enforce quality standards set by Architecture Governance board and Enterprise Architects.

Why you are our next Optus Solution Designer

  • Previous long term experience in Solution Architecture and Design roles in telecommunications sector.
  • Prior experience on Amdocs Product is required, together with experience across the software creation process, including writing High level solution, high level estimation.
  • Experience in designing Postpaid Mobile, Fixed line services, 5G, Broadband services.
  • Design experience in CRM, ordering, product management and development.
  • Practical experience in consumer, business, enterprise and wholesale market segments.
  • Demonstrable experience in maintaining relationships with Vendors and business partners.
  • Good to have experience in Agile methodology and Cloud solutions.
