The Systems Engineer (SE) is responsible for supporting vendor RAN OSS solution deployment as well as further solution customization, configuration, and improvement. The SE will collaborate with Solution Architects, Project or Product Managers, Platform Owners, and other relevant team members to understand the architecture, product roadmap/strategy, and improvement needs for new RAN OSS deployment and improvement.
What You’ll Do
- Review and govern vendor solution build to align with Optus architecture if turnkey solution using vendor product.
- Engage other teams to work on northbound interface integration and hardware deployment.
- Configure and maintain RAN OSS solutions to meet network requirements and performance standards.
- Find opportunities to enhance and improve RAN OSS solutions.
- Deliver Level 2/3 technical assistance for RAN OSS platforms and resolve complex problems.
- Build and maintain technical documentation including design documents, procedures, and guidelines.
What You Bring
- Strong understanding of RAN OSS architecture, components, and functionalities.
- Hands-on experience with Element Management Systems (EMS) for radio network equipment.
- Solid knowledge of telecommunications principles, protocols, and standards.
- Proficiency in programming languages (Java, Python) and script languages (Perl, Unix shell).
- Knowledge in Docker and Kubernetes, rules engines, messaging bus, relational & graph databases
- Ability to review and validate complex technical procedures.
- Bachelor’s degree in Telecommunications, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or related field.
- Minimum 3-5 years of experience in the telecommunications industry.
