Optus are currently seeking a motivated and people-centric Team Leader – or ‘Coach’ as you’ll be referred to as - to join our innovative Team of Experts.

 

The Role

Are you an individual who can motivate and inspire a team of experts to amaze and astound customers?

At Optus, we’re transforming the way we do things. This isn’t your traditional management role. We’re turning a page and starting a new era. Gone are the mundane admin tasks, your days will consist of coaching and mentoring to enable kick ass customer service.

You’ll be inspiring and driving a team of 10 experts across voice, messaging and chat channels to provide unique customer solutions for our customers; creating meaningful connections at a local level. You’ll help us take our service from best to obsessed, ensuring our customers are happy, stay longer with us and spend more over time.

You’ll see the direct impact of your work by seeing our Community thrive, developing our future leaders and truly making a difference for our customers as we revolutionise the way we serve.

Situated in the Macquarie Park, this is a permanent full-time opportunity.

About You

  • Prior experience in operational management/leadership
  • Ability to coach and inspire teams to perform above target
  • Ability to collaborate effectively and navigate a team through change
  • A dedicated focus on team engagement, providing strategic direction for the team
  • Strong time-management and organisation skills with the ability to manage multiple concurrent customer enquiries, projects and responsibilities
  • Excellent attention to detail, diligence to consistently follow up on open subjects/cases and an ability to complete tasks on time with little supervision
  • Technical knowledge of telecommunications products/services is advantageous, however not essential!
