This is a large two-year program to refresh the LAN/WAN/ Wi-Fi platforms onto Aruba technology as well as integrating with the shared common services and Optus management platforms as well as AWS and Zscaler.  All successful candidates will need to be Australian Citizens and be able to be security cleared for the program.

The Lead Engineering Architect is a member of Engineering within the Optus Enterprise Professional Services team. Professional Services Engineering leads delivery of Government / Enterprise and Strategic client ICT solutions into our customer’s environments, whilst supporting the sales team through technical pre-sales and Consulting.

Your day to day will consist of...

  • Undertake design authority for contract compliance and in-service system and capability sustainment.
  • Deliver and maintain Infrastructure reference models, guidelines and principles in line with the Customers Enterprise Architecture Framework.
  • Review design standards, quality control and test procedures to ensure the contract deliverables meet established design and performance goals.
  • Develop, communicate and maintaining technology architectures, roadmaps, policies and standards.
  • Manages the engagement of technical subject matter experts during the solution design and proposal phase, project delivery phase and BAU Support phase. This ensures technical governance is applied throughout the lifecycle of delivering new services to Customer.
  • The role requires supporting the Service Owners, Transformation Director and the Service Architects in ensuring new and existing services are delivered to meet Optus and the Customers Commercial and Contractual obligations.
  • Support the strategic expansion of services and capability delivered by Optus to the customer.
  • Perform a Client Relationship Management role ensuring all technical levels of the Customer are engaged and managed to ensure a positive outcome for all.

What makes you perfect for the role?

  • Tertiary qualifications in IT or Engineering field
  • Experience as an enterprise architect overseeing managed networks, unified communications and/or contact centre solutions
  • You must be an Australian citizen and be eligible for Federal Government security clearance.
  • Detailed understanding of the following technology areas: Security, Networks (Routing, Switching, WAN Acceleration, WLAN, mobile signalling) Unified Communications
