The Group Strategy Manager will provide high quality industry analysis & strategic input helping to drive one of Singtel’s top-priorities, the Business Transformation, through which we will strengthen our core business and build new growth engines. Your key responsibilities will be identification and articulation of key industry trends and disruptions and the final outcome of your work will be used by our top leaders to influence strategic company decisions.

  • Market and competitive intelligence, to identify and articulate key industry trends and disruptions
  • Identification of opportunities/trends/threats/competitor moves. You will develop insightful recommendations on strategic direction and specific project opportunities
  • Analysis and research of technical and business issues associated with Singtel group strategy topics/projects
  • Supporting the development of our strategic and financial aspirations, by providing market analysis as well as relevant benchmarks, using a wide range of resources and databases you will have access to
  • Using all available resources (EIU, IMF, Informa, broker reports, GSMA data etc.), develop and maintain the market outlook and market forecasts (macro-economic outlook, including inflation, FX, demographics, etc. and Telco-industry outlook, including industry-wide revenue and growth, number of subscribers, ARPU, penetration, smartphone penetration, data metrics, etc.)
  • Maintain the “outside-in” view of the Group’s financial and share-price performance (extract the key information from the analyst reports, maintain view around the analyst consensus, proactively keep the wider team informed about the “outside-in” perspective)
  • Working in a team to run ad-hoc strategic projects, normally at request of BOD and Senior Management


The ideal candidate should have/be:

  • Min. 2 years in consulting, strategy, equity or market research role, in telecoms, internet, media or technology
  • Strong understanding of telecoms industry and its main trends (must have extensive experience in the field)
  • Competent in business, financial & investment modeling and analytics
  • Preference for MBA, CPA or CFA
