The Manager, Group Sustainability is responsible for managing Singtel Group’s internal and external sustainability communications, including employee sustainability engagement.  This includes managing the production of the annual Singtel Group Sustainability Report (SR), aligned with global reporting standards such as GRI Standards, GSMA ESG Metrics and the upcoming ISSB Standards, liaising with internal stakeholders and SR auditor, and stakeholder communique.

 

Key responsibilities

 

Sustainability Reporting (SR):

  • Manage the annual Singtel Group SR reporting process, including 5-year strategy and targets, ensuring quality and timely reporting, and the Sustainability section in the Singtel Annual Report.
  • Oversee the internal reporting data system and audit process for the SR.
  • Work with the design/video house to create PDF and online versions of the SR and video.
  • Manage sustainability reporting related projects with consultants, such as stakeholder engagement and double materiality assessment, to ensure sustainability strategy and programmes remain relevant.

 

Stakeholder Engagement:

  • Develop stakeholder communications strategy, calendar and initiatives.
  • Produce bi-monthly Group Sustainability staff newsletter.
  • Manage sustainability e-training programmes for staff.

 

Social Sustainability and Responsible Procurement:

  • Liaise with key internal stakeholders to help drive human rights and sustainable procurement for Singtel.
  • Work with internal stakeholders to identify and address performance gaps highlighted by sustainability rating agencies, ensuring progress toward targets through desktop benchmarking and research.

 

The ideal candidate should have/be:

  • Degree/postgraduate degree in Sustainability, Environment Management, Business, Communications.
  • Relevant certifications relating to sustainability reporting e.g. GRI Standards, ISSB Standards etc, and experience in sustainability rating agencies’ surveys is a plus.
  • 3-5 years of working experience in corporate sustainability.
  • Good understanding of Singtel’s sustainability strategy and the four pillars.
  • Possess a strong knowledge of stakeholder engagement and materiality assessment.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office products especially Excel and Powerpoint.
  • Strong communications and writing skills.
  • Strong project management skills.
