The Group Sustainability department is responsible for developing Singtel Group’s Sustainability strategy, driving and overseeing the governance and implementation of the strategy in Singtel and Optus, positioning the Singtel Group as a leader in sustainability as a responsible corporate citizen and creating social and environmental impact in Singapore, Australia and the regional markets where we operate.


The Manager, Group Sustainability, is responsible for:


1.  Identifying and developing strategic sustainability opportunities and initiatives leveraging the company’s ICT capabilities, skills and expertise to develop and implement strategic engagement models with our regional Associates, key stakeholders and partners, internally and externally.


2.  Creating and driving sustainability initiatives across the ESG key pillars in Singapore and the regional markets where Singtel operates;


3.  Driving key processes to support sustainability strategy and reporting aligned to the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).


4.  Formulating and leading the implementation of major sustainability initiatives on Social Innovation; Digital Citizenship; Inclusion and Well-being; Education and Employability; and Regional collaboration and partnerships.


5.  Driving and managing staff engagement and volunteerism which includes managing key partnership agreements as well as developing Singtel’s skilled volunteering programme. 
6.  Sustainability Reporting, Awards and Indices

  • Manage the annual Singtel Group Sustainability Report reporting process, 5-year strategy and targets to ensure quality (e.g. accuracy and transparency) and timeliness, including managing the report audit process.
  • Manage Singtel’s accurate and timely submission for annual sustainability awards, indices.


The ideal candidate should be/have:


  • A postgraduate degree
  • 4-5 years of working experience in Corporate Sustainability; or in Environment Management, Sustainable Development
  • Demonstrated results and experience in sustainability indices, awards and investors survey questionnaires
  • Possess a strong knowledge of stakeholder engagement and materiality assessment
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office products especially Excel and SAP
  • Strong advocacy and caommunication skills with different levels of the organisation and stakeholders
  • Strong data analytical skills
  • Strong task, cost and time management skills and ability to multi-task
