  • Driving and planning the development of the Mobile IP Core Network.
  • Plans, develops and executes project work plans for network expansion and upgrades and revises as appropriate to meet changing needs and requirements.
  • Hardware life cycle planning and budgeting.
  • Identifies resources needed and work with individual responsibilities to execute the project plan.
  • Manages day-to-day operational aspects of a project and scope including manages project budget (CAPEX), conducts periodic project reviews, monitors receivables.
  • Effectively applies methodology, enforces project standards and minimizes exposure and risk on project.
  • Gathers and evaluates the requirements from the various functional entities and formulates the technical specifications and solution.
  • Performs technical and financial feasibility study on new emerging technologies or potential new services.
  • Leading in preparation of tender specifications and evaluation or supporting tender.
  • Engaging in commercial and technical negotiation with vendors.
  • Maintaining network documentation
  • Monitor end to end utilization and prepare performance reports.

The ideal candidate should have/be:

  • Minimum of 5 years working experience in the field of IP networking.
  • Have a Degree in Engineering majoring in telecommunications/mobile communication or IP networking.
  • Have a minimum CCNP or equivalent certification in routing and switching.
  • Have good working knowledge of networking technologies, in particular IP and MPLS (such as TCP/IP, OSPF, BGP etc). Knowledge must include IP routing, MPLS and firewall related technologies; and other layer 1 and 2 networking technologies.
  • Working and hand on experience in configuring routers, switches and firewalls.
  • Demonstrate good understanding knowledge of the following:
  • 3G/4G (LTE) /5G network architecture (MME, EPC, RNC, HSS, IMS)
  • 3GPP Packet Switched Core network engineering
  • IP RAN (NodeB, eNodeB)
  • Packet data roaming network via GRX/IPX
  • Be proactive and work independently with minimum supervision.
  • Demonstrated experience in managing external vendors to deliver on committed project scope.
  • Possesses creative problem solving skills and able to work in a dynamic and challenging environment.
  • Be goal oriented with good analytical and oral skill.
  • Committed to deliver high quality output.
  • Be able to follow up and track project effectively and close any outstanding issues.
  • Have good verbal and written communication skills.
  • Have strong interpersonal communication skills with the ability to elaborate complex technologies to a broad based audience.
