As a Manager, Strategy & Growth, you will be reporting to Senior Director, Strategy & Growth. Your role is to drive high-impact strategic projects that shape NCS’s business trajectory; which also balances strategic project leadership with the helm of the market intelligence function.

 

What will you do?

Lead Strategic Initiatives

  • Spearhead high-impact projects in growth, margin optimization, operational improvement and organizational development.
  • Provide actionable recommendations through rigorous analysis and innovative problem-solving.
  • Collaborate with leadership to align strategic projects with corporate objectives and deliver measurable outcomes.

 

Conduct Complex Research and Analysis

  • Analyze market trends, competitor strategies, and financial metrics, including M&A activities and key financial margins (e.g., project margins, gross margins, EBITDA, EBIT).
  • Effectively communicating findings to support NCS’s business units in shaping strategies, enhancing sales, and driving client engagement.

 

Market Intelligence

  • Develop and maintain a robust, automated market intelligence function leveraging tools, AI, and streamlined processes.
  • Synthesize insights from sources like Gartner, IDC, and Frost & Sullivan to inform strategic decision-making and provide proactive guidance to internal stakeholders.

 

Support Corporate Strategy & Planning

  • Contribute to strategic planning, including the Annual Operating Plan (AOP).
  • Facilitate execution of strategic and transformational initiatives by presenting findings and recommendations to senior leadership.

 

Data-Driven Decision Support

  • Partner with Finance to analyze performance metrics, ensuring alignment with business goals.
  • Support strategic planning, including AOP, by providing market and competitor insights.

 

Strategic Stakeholder Engagement

  • Act as a trusted advisor to business leaders, enabling informed responses to market trends and opportunities.
  • Collaborate across functions (sales, delivery, and innovation) to address strategic priorities.

 

Capability Development and Automation

  • Standardize and automate processes within the market intelligence function to improve productivity.
  • Develop tools, templates, and best practices that elevate the team's impact.

 

Executive Communication

  • Craft and present compelling, insight-driven narratives for senior leadership to support strategic discussions and decisions.

 

Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Align with business units to ensure strategic initiatives are implemented effectively.
  • Actively contribute to internal capability-building by mentoring teams and fostering a culture of excellence.

 

The ideal candidate should possess:

  • At least 5 years of relevant experience in strategic planning, market research, or analysis roles, ideally with exposure to high-impact, cross-functional projects.
  • Background in consulting, strategy, in-house consulting, or technology services has an added advantages.
  • Ability to manage and execute high-impact strategic projects.
  • Expertise in market research using sources such as Gartner, IDC, and Frost & Sullivan, with a focus on actionable insights.
  • Ability to analyze complex problems and distill them into clear, structured insights for effective decision-making.
  • Ability to convey complex ideas in a clear, concise manner, both in written reports and presentations, tailored for executive-level audiences.
  • Ability to analyze financial data, interpret KPIs, and understand performance drivers in IT or professional services.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, confident in senior executive interaction and leading cross-functional teams.
  • Ability to manage multiple strategic projects concurrently, with excellent time management and prioritization.
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Economics, Computer Science, Technology, Finance, Marketing, Data Science, Analytics, Engineering, Mathematics, Statistics or related field preferred.
