The Business Development Manager is responsible for developing and winning new business for Optus within the Victorian State Government & Public Sector market. Working across a defined portfolio of existing and new customers, you will develop and execute strategic growth plans, build senior executive relationships and identify opportunities across Mobility, Customer Experience, Workplace Transformation, Modern Workplace and Cyber Security solutions. You will leverage Optus’ broad portfolio, strategic partnerships and panel agreements to deliver customer-centric ICT solutions and drive revenue growth, market share and customer acquisition outcomes.
What You’ll Do
- Develop and execute strategic sales and acquisition plans to maintain and grow Optus market share across Victorian State Government and Public Sector customers.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with senior executives, including Director, Executive Director, Deputy Secretary and C-level stakeholders.
- Identify, develop and pursue new business opportunities, leading solution development across Mobility, Modern Workplace, Workplace Transformation and Cyber Security portfolios.
- Manage a strong sales pipeline, deliver against TCVPOM and Mobile Adds targets, and maintain forecast accuracy and CRM data quality.
- Lead strategic customer engagement activities, including executive briefings, innovation workshops, pursuit planning and account reviews to strengthen customer partnerships and identify growth opportunities.
- Collaborate with internal sales, product, delivery, marketing and partner teams to design and position tailored ICT solutions that meet customer requirements and deliver outstanding business outcomes.
What You Bring
- Minimum 5 years’ relationship sales experience within Information Technology and/or Telecommunications environments.
- Minimum 2 years’ experience selling into State Government and Public Sector customers.
- Demonstrated success developing long-term customer relationships and executing strategic business and account plans.
- Proven track record achieving sales growth through acquisition strategies across Mobility, Modern Workplace, Workplace Transformation and Cyber Security solutions.
