The Senior Engineer will provide comprehensive design, solution build/ implementation, scoping and technical support as well as assisting and complementing the mid to junior level engineers in a mentoring as well as technical capacity.

Your day in the life of a Senior Engineer at Optus

  • Undertaking system analysis, technical design, implementation and maintenance of solutions applied to customer infrastructure incorporating technologies such as network, IP Telephony, security, systems, storage and wireless solutions as applicable to the role.
  • Assist with the review of the technical solutions and effort estimates needed for RFPs/Proposals.
  • Ensure compliance with Engineering Design, Build Methodology and Project Management Quality Systems, Key Business Processes.
  • Provide technical support to clients through dealing with complex service queries and problems with clients’ systems related to above technologies, as applicable.

Your skills to pay the bills

  • Extensive technical experience in design, installation and support delivery of medium and networking, wireless and firewall security”. HPE Aruba skills desirable.
  • Experience in technical pre-sales and customer implementation as a lead engineer
  • Technical Qualifications, at this level this may include Cisco or Aruba Certifications (CCNP/CCIE/ANSF/ACSP) in Routing and Switching, Data Centre, Security and Wireless.
