Pre Sales - Microsoft Collaboration

The purpose of this role is to provide a high level of business and technical consultancy in all areas of Office 365, Teams and SharePoint to customer accounts. 

The Microsoft Pre Sales Consultant exhibits in-depth technology and business knowledge across a range of the Microsoft technologies including SharePoint Online, Microsoft Teams and Office 365 technology portfolio to scope and propose innovative solutions to Ensyst customers.

You’ll be required to articulate and propose innovative / complex technology solutions and influence senior management both externally and internally.

The role is responsible for providing direction and leadership to CXO business stakeholders, and customer technical teams, potentially drawing on expertise from the broader Ensyst team when targeting major opportunities and developing associated solutions and proposals. This will include being responsible for supporting complex strategic accounts which need sophisticated, innovative and integrated business solutions.

You will be the overall owner of the proposed solution(s) for key streams of a major customer engagement, covering ongoing relationship and major offer stages:

  • Ongoing relationship: providing professional design and consultancy services to develop innovative ‘whole-of-business’ relationships on an ongoing basis, to address customer business requirements through technology, application and services
  • Offers stages: providing major solution offers (bids), covering technology and commercial ownership, and is instrumental in defining the winning business-to-technology value proposition.

The role will be extensively customer facing and will require a strong rapport with the customer (extensive experience presenting to the C-level executive is crucial). This role will be required to own and manage the proposal including solution development, scope and governance of required inputs. Strong commercial acumen will be required.

The position provides a key link between the sales process, product capability owners, and implementation teams.

Skills and Experience;

You possess strong verbal, written, documentation and design skills, coupled with presentation and effective listening skills. You pride yourself on being proactive in the establishment of professional relationships at relevant levels within the customer structured and bring with you strong negotiation skills, advanced consulting and selling skills covering strategic positioning and enterprise-wide solutions-based selling at C – level. Additionally, you understand financial principles and engage in financial return discussions with customers, including the ability to produce costing models. Furthermore, our ideal candidate will also have the following;

  • Solid experience and a proven track record in selling complex solutions related to SharePoint, Office 365 and Microsoft Teams.
  • Understanding of Platform integration and other value add Office 365 and Microsoft Cloud services and such as PowerBI, Flow, Delve etc.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Workspace, End User Compute environments including Windows 10, Autopilot, Intune and Citrix. 
  • Proficiency with Customer Experience related business requirements and ability to translate business requirements and customer outcomes to a structured program of works
  • Experience in developing consulting, professional services and Annuity based services proposal and presentations
  • Post Graduate qualifications (MBA, Management Diploma) will be highly regarded
  • Degree qualified in an engineering/science/finance discipline (either Telecommunications or Information Technology at Certificate IV level and/or Multiple Tertiary qualifications (Engineering/Science/Finance) and/or Exposure to enterprise service management and architecture methodologies and frameworks such as ITIL and TOGAF
  • Understanding of industry trends and directions (local and international)              
  • Understanding of End User Adoption and Change Management methodologies
  • Relevant vendor and industry certifications. E.g. ITIL, PROSCI, Microsoft Azure, SharePoint, etc.
  • Ability to recognise and analyse the customer’s business needs and translate them into relevant solution set and to articulate the value proposition to the customer
  • Experience in the development of long-term business relationships and developing strategic sales plans are essential             
  • Strong thought leadership and collaboration skills
