Make an Impact by:
- Design, plan and setup/expand new/existing SingTel Private IPVPN / MPLS network and Secured Data Network. This will include ensuring that design conforms to Singtel's Service Level Agreement and ease of operation and maintenance.
- Manage the lifecycle of the network and security devices, and refresh equipment at appropriate
- times to prevent network failures due to wear and tear.
- Manage the lifecycle of the network and security services, and algorithm at appropriate times to prevent service failures and improve service restoration time.
- Design, plan, implement and configure various network and security element including core routers, access routers, switches, security etc.
- Develop and conduct testing to support new features on Singtel Private IPVPN service, as well as Secured Key Distribution or Data Service.
- Manage equipment capacity to ensure that the performance meets the Service Level Agreements offered to customers.
- Upgrade and enhance the performance monitoring and service management system.
- Evaluation of new products and technologies for new services rollout.
- Keep abreast of new technologies and networking gear to improve the network and services that is offered to customers.
- Work with Operation team on the commissioning, implementation of changes, decommissioning, and provisioning of service.
- Act as Tier 4 support for resolving operational incidents and problems.
- Manage equipment vendors, purchase equipment through tendering process and administer supplier's contract.
- Subject matter expert for the service and act as a consultant to the pre-sales team.
Skills for Success:
- Degree in Telecommunications/ Electrical/ Electronics or equivalent qualifications with at least 3 years of working experience.
- To have good working knowledge of networking technologies, in particular IP, Internet and MPLS (such as TCP/IP, OSPF, BGP etc). Knowledge base must include IP routing, peering, MPLS related technologies; and other layer 1 and 2 networking technologies like TDM and Ethernet.
- To have good working knowledge of servers and virtualization administration, in particular OpenStack, RHEL, Linux Container, Docker, etc.
- To have good working experience and knowledge on AAA (Authentication, Authorization and Accounting) related services, in particular RADIUS, TACACS, LDAP, 2FA, etc.
- To have good working knowledge of software programming and integration, in particular Python, SCALA, NetConf, JSON, XML, RPC, Rest, gRPC, etc.
- To have knowledge of Quantum Key Distribution, BB84. ETSI014, Post Quantum Cryptography and/or encryption equipment will be a significant advantage.
- To have knowledge and experience on IPSec and SSL VPN technologies.
- To have the aptitude and attitude to continuously upgrade and refresh the knowledge in networking technologies.
- Good inter-personal, organizational, problem solving and teamwork skills.
- Pro/active nature and ability to coordinate process designs across multiple groups.
