Main responsibilities:

  • Design, plan and setup/expand new/existing SingTel Global Private IPVPN / MPLS network.  This will include ensuring that design conforms to SingTel's Service Level Agreement and ease of operation and maintenance.
  • Manage the lifecycle of the network and refresh equipment at appropriate times to prevent network failures due to wear and tear.
  • Design, plan, implement and configure various network element including core routers, access routers, switches, etc.
  • Develop and conduct testing to support new features on SingTel Private IPVPN service.
  • Manage network capacity to ensure that the network performance meets the Service Level Agreements offered to customers.
  • Upgrade and enhance the network performance monitoring and network management system.
  • Evaluation and hands-on testing of new products and technologies for new services rollout.
  • Manage Cyber Security related requirements to protect our service platform.
  • Keep abreast of new technologies and networking gear to improve the network and services that is offered to customers
  • Work with Operation team on the commissioning of network.
  • Act as Tier 4 support for resolving operational incidents and problems.
  • Manage equipment vendors, purchase equipment through tendering process and administer supplier's contract.
  • Subject matter expert for the service and act as a consultant to the pre-sales team.


The candidate should have the following to succeed in this position.

  • Degree in Telecommunications/ Electrical/ Electronics or equivalent qualifications with at least 3 years of working experience.
  • To have good working knowledge of networking technologies, in particular IP and MPLS.  Knowledge base must include IP routing (BGP, OSPF, IS-IS etc), MPLS (RFC4364, Traffic Engineering etc) related technologies; and other layer 1 and 2 networking technologies like SDH, OTN and IEEE802.x Ethernet related.
  •  Professional certification (e.g. CCNA, CCNP, CCIE etc) and Programming Skills, Python and C++ will be an advantage.
  • Cyber Security related certification will be an advantage.
  • To have the aptitude and attitude to continuously upgrade and refresh the knowledge in networking technologies.
  • Good inter-personal, organizational, problem solving and teamwork skills.
  • Proactive nature and ability to coordinate process designs across multiple groups
