Key Responsibilities

  • Lead in the network design, implementation, and support on the bilateral infra set up with partners.
  • Plan, deploy, optimize and provide support to maintain the Singapore Backhaul Infrastructure network and overseas ILC network including network design, capacity planning and monitoring, and patch management.
  • Responsible for the Backhaul circuit assignments & inventory record updating in Backhaul infra network 
  • Plan, procure and commission new DC power rectifiers to support installation of new transmission equipment including DC Power migration from old to new DC rectifier.
  • Plan and build the digital inventory to support ILC and E-line services including the following scope:
    • Explore and enable digitalization on new and existing network inventories and services,
    • Create prototype on the digitization based on existing network,
    • Present to peers and supervisors on all the findings of prototype and seek improvement in the digital inventory system
  • Partner with cross-functional teams in Singtel to integrate with Internal systems for Digital Inventory


The ideal candidate should have:

  • At least Bachelor's Degree in Electrical & Electronics, Computer Science/Information Technology/Engineering (Computer/Telecommunication) or equivalent.
  • At least 3 years of experience in the communications industry with a Telco / Managed Service Provider environment.
  • Good technical knowledge and relevant skillset to handle Layer 0 on Dark fibre and DWDM
  • Experience in developing, managing and evaluating the technical and commercial aspects of RFP/ Tender specifications for system solution
  • Keen interest in optical network technology development and industry trend.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, confident in dealing with various external and internal stakeholders with a customer-focused attitude.
  • Able to work independently, play a hands-on role and adapt in a challenging and fast-paced environment.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office tools

  • The following knowledge or hands-on experience would be useful but is not a must
    • Automation
    • Full stack coding
    • Java, Phyton, C# or equivalent,
    • Programming knowledge of HTML, Java Script (JS) & Cascading Style Sheet (CSS), and
    • RESTAPI Gateway.
    • Database SQL, MySQL, MongoDB, etc
