Make an Impact by

 

  • Responsible for planning, implementation and ensure systems are in an optimal state for the OSS systems and solutions, meeting service level KPIs, satisfactory customer level and regulatory standards and requirements.
  • Accountable for the planning and operations of the Assurance OSS (Operations Support System) solutions in event, performance and service management for the Fixed, Mobile, Broadband, IPTV and Transmission networks.
  • Work with internal and external parties to collate/review and perform technical analysis of the requirements and drive the solution design for implementations.
  • Lead in preparation of tender specifications, evaluation of tender from both a technical and commercial standpoint, and project management of the implementation.
  • Lead in implementation of new OSS capabilities or upgrade existing systems, to support new network elements or technology deployed in the network.
  • Evaluate and adopt automation, AI/ML, analytics capabilities to help transform OSS systems into an intelligent OSS eco-system platform.
  • Lead in technical planning, implementation, and delivery for enhancement projects.
  • Liaise and co-ordinate with system vendor(s) for the delivery, testing and timely implementation of new software, hardware, and modules.

 

Skills for Success 

 

  • An IT or Telecommunication based degree, preferably in the areas of Electrical/Electronic or Info-Communications Engineering or equivalent
  • At least 5 years working experience in the area of Engineering or service planning
  • System OS knowledge and administration hands-on experience on some of following systems:
  • Experience in Service or Network operations centre
  • Linux (RHEL, CentOS), Solaris, HP-UX, Windows, Oracle, MySQL, Postgres and/or SAN/NAS storage system. CISCO IOS. Veritas Netbackup, Juniper OS.
  • Well-rounded understanding of technology including Operating Systems (Linux), Networking fundamentals, Internet Protocols (DNS, TCP/ IP, HTTP), Cloud / Cyber Security and Hosting Infrastructure (load balancers, firewalls, etc) is required
  • Domain certifications /experience in eTOM and ITIL v4.
  • Certification in CCNA and/or CCNP.
  • Mobile technologies (e.g. WCDMA, GSM, SIGTRAN, LTE, 5G etc)
  • Good knowledge and/or working experience on IPV6, Load-balancer and security devices such as Cisco, F5, Fortigate and etc.
  • Knowledge of shell scripting (Python, Bash…), cloud computing, containerization, micro-service, software-defined network, network function virtualization and major network protocols
  • Understanding of Linux, open source, software development and related automation, monitoring tools (e.g. CI/CD, Jenkins, Docker, Ansible, Prometheus, Grafana)
  • Good knowledge in SQL, Cloud Computing, Java and Python
  • Good knowledge of shell scripting
