We're looking for an AI Product Manager to support the development and delivery of AI products within our Customer, Enabling, or Technology product portfolios.

 

 

What you’ll do:

 

Reporting to the Senior Director of AI Product, you'll contribute to the end-to-end product lifecycle for a single product or squad, working within a defined product strategy and be accountable for:

 

  • Supporting product strategy execution and roadmap delivery for a single AI product or squad, aligned to Optus.ai objectives and business goals.
  • Contributing to product backlogs by writing clear user stories and acceptance criteria that translate business requirements into actionable development work.
  • Conducting user research initiatives including interviews, surveys, usability testing, and behavioural analysis to understand user needs and validate solutions.
  • Collaborating with cross-functional squads including engineering, data science, design, and business stakeholders through the product development lifecycle.
  • Defining and analysing key product metrics and KPIs to track product health, usage, and business impact, using insights to inform product decisions.
  • Participating in agile product development practices, including sprint planning, backlog refinement, and retrospectives to ensure high-quality delivery.
  • Building and maintaining stakeholder relationships, gathering feedback from diverse groups to inform product decisions and maintain alignment.

We're looking for someone who's excited by the challenge of building AI products that deliver real value and eager to grow their product craft.

 

 

Must-haves:

 

  • 2-4 years of experience in product management roles within technology companies.
  • Demonstrated experience supporting product development from concept to launch.
  • Experience working with cross-functional teams and contributing to product backlogs, roadmaps, and success metrics.
  • Strong commitment to user-centred design with ability to balance user needs, business objectives, and technical constraints.
  • Proficiency in product analytics and using data insights to drive product decisions.
  • Understanding of AI/ML concepts and ability to work effectively with technical teams.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with ability to articulate product concepts clearly and build stakeholder relationships.
  • Analytical problem-solving skills with structured approach to breaking down challenges into actionable solutions.

 

Nice-to-haves:

 

  • Experience working with AI/ML products or platforms.
  • Experience in telecommunications or highly regulated industries.
