Position Summary
Our Product Specialists team is responsible for achieving the revenue objectives for Singtel’s IoT Connectivity portfolio. The team will evangelise the value proposition of IoT to internal stakeholders and enable stakeholders to amplify the product, marketing and selling efforts of IoT across all relevant Singtel sales segments. Our product specialists are also expected to deliver excellent customer experience through highest level of external customer engagements throughout the customer life cycle starting from pre-sales stage.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Work with Account Management teams and participate in the sales cycle on IoT opportunities.
- Identify customer requirements and design solutions that best meet their needs in IOT solutions
- Work closely with the Product Management team as part of fronting the RFP requirements from customers and also leading the response on proposals.
- Provide effective responses to tenders/ RFPs/ Proposals with solution design and technical clarifications.
- Deliver technical presentations of proposed solutions covering both technical and operational benefits to customers.
- Work closely with implementation and operations team on proposed design for successful delivery and implementation.
- Build a healthy sales funnel to meet IoT revenue target along with the sales organisation
- Organize quarterly knowledge briefing sessions for new Account Managers
Education and Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Engineering or related discipline
Work Experience
5 years or more of Experience in business development, technical and solutions pre-sales
- Ability to design and translate solutions into business proposals.
Technical Skills
- Demonstrated strong professional experience in direct and/or related domain areas (mobile networks, GSM/CDMA/UMTS/LTE, IP networks)
- Knowledge of Connectivity Management platforms such as Cisco Jasper, Ericsson DCP would be big plus
- Knowledge of embedded SIM and the relevant subscription management platforms
- Working Experience and or exposure with M2M and IoT (Internet of Things) technology would be a plus (NB-IoT, LTE-M, IoT Application Enablement platforms)
- Knowledge of Software platforms, middleware technologies in the areas of M2M/IoT would be a plus
- Knowledge of Cloud Technologies and platforms.
- Fundamentals of 5G
- Knowledge of various industry verticals with IoT use-cases.
