The Project Manager is accountable for overall delivery of Group Infrastructure and Operations (GIO) led projects and sub-project delivery as part of Application lead end-to-end Projects.


The Project Manager, in general, is accountable for several projects to meet customer experience/ expectations and agreed technical specifications, as well as delivering on time and within budget.


Will hold overall accountability for the deliverables of each skill group (or tower) within GIO teams (which includes infrastructure solution designers, Senior IT Managers and Senior system, storage and database administrators, Networks and IT Work place teams and vendors handling outsourced components of work) and will be the primary point of contact for their projects within the GIO portfolio.


During the course of project delivery, the Project Manager will ensure that formal change management processes are followed, and will monitor project work load to ensure adequate internal and external resource coverage. A key element of work also includes technical reviews with Infrastructure and Network Solution designers, influencing technical decisions and technical leadership of system admin teams during project delivery.


Will ensure effective management of risk and issues across projects under their portfolio.  Escalation and Issue management through to resolution, with ownership, clear visibility, and communication to mitigate the project impacts. Issue and scope management with high ability to think out of the box and working independently. Employing motivation techniques to lead technical teams to achieve desired Project outcomes. In addition, the PM will ensure that overall quality assurance (QA) reviews at defined points in the project life cycle are completed with adequate results, and to governance requirements.


Are required to provide consistent project delivery with clear focus on stable solutions with a clearly defined and agreed operational support model and ensure production readiness.


Other responsibilities are in relation to overall project reporting and communications that would ensure overall compliance to GIO and IT governance, communication to project stakeholders, as well as sponsor committees with regular updates of project schedules, risk and issues registers and overall financial control.



  • IT Degree/ PMP
  • 8 Years in Infra PM / Snr Infra PM or program PM role in a large organisation
  • Significant exposure to VM Infra
  • Good Understanding of ITSM and Ops
  • Have done infra Transitions
  • Mandatory – Microsoft Office
  • Mandatory – IT Security
  • Mandatory – IT infrastructure (Virtual infra, Cloud infra, End-User technology)
