We are seeking a versatile Project Manager cum QA Test Lead who will be responsible for both managing projects and leading quality assurance efforts. In this hybrid role, you will oversee project delivery from initiation through to completion, ensuring timelines, budget constraints, and quality standards are met. Additionally, you will lead the QA team in planning and executing manual and automated testing to ensure the final product is defect-free and aligns with business requirements.
What will you do?
Project Management
- Lead Project Planning: Develop comprehensive project plans, including scope, goals, deliverables, and timelines.
- Manage Resources: Coordinate with cross-functional teams to allocate resources and ensure the timely delivery of project milestones.
- Monitor Progress: Track project performance using tools like Jira, MS Project, or similar to ensure on-time delivery.
- Risk Management: Identify project risks and issues and develop mitigation strategies.
- Client/Stakeholder Communication: Maintain clear communication with clients and stakeholders, providing regular status updates and ensuring alignment on project goals.
- Budget Management: Oversee project budgets and make sure project deliverables stay within financial constraints.
Quality Assurance (QA) Leadership
- QA Strategy: Develop and implement comprehensive test plans and QA strategies for various projects.
- Test Execution: Lead the QA team in both manual and automated testing efforts, ensuring thorough coverage across functionality, performance, and user experience.
- Defect Management: Track, report, and prioritize defects, working closely with development teams to ensure timely resolution.
- Process Improvement: Continuously improve QA processes, tools, and best practices to enhance efficiency and product quality.
- Team Leadership: Manage and mentor the QA team, ensuring professional growth and efficient performance of QA personnel.
- Documentation: Ensure proper documentation of all QA activities, test results, and project-related data.
The ideal candidate should possess:
- Diploma / Degree in Computer Science / Computer Engineering / Information Technology related field, or IT equivalent
- Typically 10 or more years of IT/Testing experience with knowledge of test methodology and various test tools
- Familiar with testing methodologies, tools and techniques
- Possess initiative and disposition with a strong commitment and orientation towards results and high quality standards
- Team player with strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Self-motivator with a positive attitude and with high energy
- Proficient in written and spoken English
