Reporting to the Associate Director Risk, Controls and Incident Management, the Quality Control Business Continuity Lead is responsible for the build, delivery and testing of Customer Success & Customer Solutions Business Impact Assessments, Business Continuity Plans & Crisis Response activity to ensure adequate fit for purpose planning is completed to cater for any force majeure and or crisis events.
 

This will be achieved by collaborating with a variety of stakeholders across both business units to capture critical business functions to build Business Impact Assessment and Business Continuity Plans in accordance with overall Resilience Methodology in addition to the completion of required updates and testing of plans outlined in accordance with organizational changes and methodology outlined.
 

The role also involves developing proactive incident response plans for high-impact or high-risk events and supporting the Risk, Controls, and Incident Management team in reporting on business continuity activities.
 

Your day in the life at Optus
 

  • Development and build of Business Impact Assessments, Business Continuity Plans & event specific incident response and crisis management activities.
  • Coordination of testing of Business Continuity Plans across Customer Success & Customer Solutions channels in accordance with overall Resilience Management methodology
  • Development of incident response plans for potential high-risk events, projects or scenarios.
  • Provide reporting on Business Continuity Plan completion, critical business functions, trends & metrics to the monthly Customer Success Business Risk committee and bimonthly Customer Solution Business Risk Committee
  • Support control development and testing in collaboration with the Customer Success controls manager.
  • Support crisis and incident response requirements in collaboration with the Associate Director Risk, Controls and Incident Management.
     

Your skills to pay the bills
 

  • Proven experience in Business Continuity, Operations or Compliance related corporate role
  • Project Management Experience
  • Experience in support crisis response activities
  • Core understanding of Risk & Control management principles & methodology that can be applied into the telecommunications industry.
  • You have formerly built Business Impact & Business Continuity Plans.
