We are looking for a Business Continuity Management Manager who is reponsible for developing disaster recovery project plan in Group IT. The incumbent will be identifying threats and measures that affect the operations of the IT systems and applications across Singapore and Australia. 



Key Responsibilities:


  • Identify the threats that affect the operations of GIT’s IT systems and applications and measures to mitigate the threats in Singapore and Australia 
  • Conduct an application impact analysis for GIT-owned and managed applications and systems in Singapore and Australia with domain owners to identify critical systems and resources necessary to resume operations of these systems in a disruption
  • Formulate IT recovery strategies with domain owners with consideration to cost, cloud and cybersecurity
  • Consolidate and develop a GIT DR Plan
  • Create and conduct IT DR awareness and training programmes
  • Conduct ITDR exercises and tests to ensure systems and applications meet business and resiliency requirements
  • Integrate business continuity with DR initiatives
  • Maintain a GIT DR programme with a periodic / yearly schedule
  • Support the implementation of the GIT crisis management programme through the following: 
  • Conduct a Risk Analysis and Review 
  • Develop and implement crisis management strategies and plans 
  • Create and develop crisis management awareness and training programmes, including on need for BC Plans  
  • Regularly organize or coordinate the organization of crisis management tests and exercises to familiarize GIT SLT and staff with crisis management plans and procedures. Seek approval for exercise report and track recommendations 
  • Follow up from areas of improvements identified 
  • Support the GIT BCM Office in managing the GIT BCM programme to mitigate risks to its operations, respond swiftly to incidents and be able to continue critical business functions and systems in a crisis or disruption. 
  •  Keep abreast of incidents that may affect operations in Singapore and Australia and provide secretariat support to GIT CMT to respond swiftly in incidents and crises in accordance with the GIT CMP. 
  • Assist to provide management reporting on readiness of GIT BC and DR readiness to GCIO, SLT teams and risk committees.
  • Support and participate in audit requests and meetings with regulators where required.



The ideal candidate should have: 

  • Degree in IT with 3-5 years of relevant experience in implementing crisis management and disaster recovery plan programmes
  • Experience in developing Business Continuity Plan (BCP) and Business Continuity Management (BCM)
  • Experience from telecommunications and IT industry
  • Associate Business Continuity Professional (CBCP) or equivalent certification (such as Disaster Recovery Certified Planner (DRCP) etc 
  • Specialist Knowledge and experience in Crisis Management and Disaster Recovery Planning (DRP)
  • Knowledge in IT processes, risk management and controls 
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel and Powerpoint 
  • Project implementation and vendor management experience
  • Meticulous and pay attention to accuracy of details 
  • Experience developing cross-functional relationships 
  • Good communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team 
  • Requires flexibility to work outside of normal operating hours especially when handling crisis situations or special projects.
