Optus Business (SMB) are seeking an impactful, dynamic and influential Sales Project Manager to join the team, based in either our head office campus in Sydney, NSW or in Melbourne, Perth, Brisbane or Adelaide. Optus are embarking on a transformational strategy to increase market share over the next 3 years. This is a permanent, full-time position – however can be available as a 0.8 part time FTE for the right candidate.

Our growth ambition requires a step change in sales performance and a range of sales initiatives and programs to deliver that growth. As such, we have created this new role to help support the Senior Director of National Sales in managing, holding accountable and ensuring the on-time delivery of strategic and tactical sales initiatives that are critical in delivering the growth.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Developing our FY23 sales program/project plan – liaising and coordinating with different initiative owners across sales to lick in milestones, delivery dates, budgets & outcomes
  • Lead weekly cadence on program reporting & tracking, prepare weekly communication and tracking updates. Monthly NPR reporting on project status, wins & priorities
  • Providing counsel & support to initiative owners on mitigating risk, creating pathways for delivery
  • Prioritisation – drive the prioritisation and classification of over 50 sales projects to ensure we are focussed on the ones that will move the needle

 

About You:

  • Strong project management experience, preferably within a sales environment/working with sales teams and sales initiatives
  • Proven experience operation both strategically and tactically and having a strong attention to detail. Demonstrates sound commercial accumen
  • Ability to manage complex business environments and multiple stakeholders to deliver outcomes. Strong stakeholder engagement skills – ability to influence and drive accountability
  • Excellent written, verbal, communication & presentation skills
  • Creates an environment where risk-taking and idea generation are valued, while determining where value lies and driving creation of high-value solutions
