Job Responsibilities

 

  • The IoT Sales Specialist at Singtel leads our enterprise customers for the IoT transformation.  A focused strategic selling role, the sales specialist engages enterprise customers, builds, identifies, drives, orchestrates and closes opportunities with customers that produce transformative business outcomes using IoT.  

     

  • The role encompasses both growth through new acquisitions or win-back and by expanding customer expenditure with our existing businesses via IoT services. The sales closures must add and maintain overall business and account top line revenue growth while managing and up-selling customers to avert revenue erosion.

 

  • The sales specialist needs to understand the customer’s business, identify the business challenges and develop strong value propositions to help customer meet their business objectives through Singtel IoT solutions. The sales specialist needs to identify influencers and decision makers within the enterprise customer’s organization, and to effectively engage across all levels in the customer’s organization including C-level executives on Singtel IoT solutions.

 

  • The sales specialist upon qualifying an opportunity, needs to develop a meticulous pursuit plan to progress the opportunity to closure. He leads and drives sales focused activities, scope customer’s requirements and communicates the account opportunities, objectives, strategy and resource requirements in collaboration with internal stakeholders such as Account team, Product, Pre-Sales and Operations.

     

  • The sales specialist independently drives the end to end sales process, from meeting the customer to scoping the requirements, preparing sales proposals, conducting presentations/proof of concepts, negotiating the contract till the closing of business with qualified customers. The sales specialist needs to be resourceful in gathering the right resources to meet business objectives, and able to prepare and deliver high impact sales presentations and proposals.

 

  • The sales specialist needs to market and sells key IoT solutions such as Smart Lock, IoT Sense (People Counting) and IoT Precision (indoor location tracking). The sales specialist would be expected to drive sales in other IoT/Mobility related products and services that management may focus on.

 

  • The sales specialist proactively monitors market changes/needs, competitor landscape and feedback on important activities (e.g. technical developments, industry trends, new features and services etc.) to Sales, Product and Marketing teams.     

     

  • The sales specialist should be customer focused, and ensures excellent customer satisfaction levels with every engagement.

 

Job Requirements

 

  • A degree or higher with at least 5 years of sales experience in IT or High Tech industries, with experience in opportunity and account leadership and a track record of successful sales in IoT or related solutions.

     

  • Excellent communication, presentation and negotiation skills

     

  • Able to operate in a highly competitive and fast paced environment, and work/navigate with various internal stakeholders in a complex organization
