Manager, Market Development (SME segment)

Reporting to the Director, Segment Marketing, the candidate will be involved in Market Development activities for Business Sales. The objective would be to drive interest and growth in Singtel solutions through partner engagement in the SMB sector.

The mission of the business development role is to fundamentally change how solutions are discovered, purchased, and deployed by our SMB customers. To help SMBs discover and develop solutions to deal with daily operations and position for growth through an ecosystem of partners.

A passionate and innovative individual who has both the business acumen and technology knowledge to help establish Singtel as a preferred partner and solution provider.

 

Responsibilities 

 

New Business Generation

  • Work closely with SMB Customers, Partners, Marketing, Sales, Product, and Specialists teams across the organization to work on the value proposition to position Singtel as enabling SMB customers to digitalise and achieve growth.
  • Research, ideate and design potential solutions and offers, including proactive proposals to drive adoption of Singtel solutions – in collaboration with government agencies and ecosystem of industry & like-minded partners.
  • Drive structured programs with partners (across Sell-to & Sell-Through sales motions) for lead generation and to accelerate adoption of Singtel ICT solutions – including 5G.
  • Implement customer usage metrics & implementation of solution-focused Sell-To & Sell-Through reporting.
  • Manage the lifecycle of assigned initiatives, including demonstrating operational success and recommending further iterations.

 

Market Development/Thought Leadership

  • Keep abreast of key trends affecting the business – new developments in the market, progress of SMBs and development in the market environment specific to certain vertical industries.
  • Must possess a strong intellectual curiosity and desire to understand and solve enterprises/ SMBs pain points.
  • Possesses strong critical reasoning skills; Able to provide meaningful, well-reasoned critiques and suggestions on the direction on various initiatives.

 

Requirements 

  • Degree in Marketing, Business.
  • At least 5 years of working experience in market development, new business generations within Telco/ICT / Tech industry
  • Track record in developing new partners and engaging exist partners to position the products and services
  • Operational rigor, ability to prioritize and work on multiple projects simultaneously, keeping focus on execution and delivering results consistently.
  • Proven ability to work cooperatively with various teams, including operations, sales and professional services.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel/ Tableau.
