As a Senior Analyst, Corporate Strategy & Development you will have an opportunity to create a significant impact on our company’s strategic direction. You will support driving comprehensive analysis and insights to define our long-term strategic planning and growth.
What You’ll Do | Your day to day will consist of

Develop financial models and quantitative analyses underpinning strategic modules of work.

Synthesise analysis into clear strategic narratives, insights and recommendations for senior management.

Monitor and report on market/industry trends and competitive dynamics to identify emerging threats and opportunities to support strategic decision making.

Support the development and delivery of Optus’ strategy through objective research, analysis, and evaluation.

Prepare board-level strategy papers, presentations and other discussion documents and be able to communicate findings in clear, compelling formats.

Build effective working relationships across the organisation.
What You Bring | What makes you perfect for the role?

Tertiary qualifications in Finance, Economics, Business, Commerce, or a related field.

Approximately 4-6 years of professional experience in strategy, corporate development, management consulting, or in-house corporate strategy/finance functions.

Advanced financial modelling and valuation skills combined with strong commercial competence, backed by proficiency in Powerpoint/Excel and ability to develop well-structured strategic narratives.

Experience working with strategy in ambiguous and fast-paced environments.

Outstanding written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to tailor messages to various stakeholders.

Proven track record of delivering high-quality analytical work for senior stakeholders across the organisation.

Strategic outlook with the ability to think creatively and propose innovative solutions.

Collaborative individual with excellent interpersonal abilities and a talent for working effectively across departments.
