The Senior Analyst- Performance Analytics, reporting to the AD Performance Analytics, will be responsible for directly affecting business outcomes and leading the insights and advanced analytics across the credit management lifecycle.
They will combine their business knowledge, technical expertise, data & analytics best practice, and curiosity to drive a deep understanding of the underlying data, processes, and business trends to provide insights that are genuinely actionable by the business leaders, with the aim to improve general performance, identify & mitigate risk, outline optimization opportunities, and improve financial outcomes. Conversely, use data to challenge management actions and champion data-driven decision making.
This role will be accountable for driving reporting, planning, forecasting, and insights associated with Loss Prevention while also working cross functionally to support, as required, the other areas within the credit management lifecycle including credit risk, collections & recoveries, and debt management, across all the Optus portfolios (Consumer, Business, Wholesale, Enterprise)
Your day in the life at Optus
- Design & deliver performance management solutions (reporting/dashboards) to enable tracking of business performance and drive accountability
- Deliver data driven and actionable insights across the credit management lifecycle that are accurate, relevant, answer the ‘so what’, and deliver a compelling narrative around performance
- Develop models to forecast both short/long term performance across core KPIs including involuntary churn and Bad Debt Expense (BDE), providing visibility of any impacts, risks, opportunities, and impacts
- Develop & maintain benefit realization models across strategic/operational/tactical projects, including tracking project status to identify any ongoing impacts to core KPIs
Your skills to pay the bills
- Background in data analytics and are capable of designing and developing data integration and visualization solutions
- Strong knowledge of data and how it drives value, with a clear understanding of data models, data integration architectures, measurement solutions, and visualization tools
- Experience in modelling, querying, and integrating databases, including relational (SQL), regression, time-series; MS Office Suite (adv. Excel with strong knowledge of external DB integration, automation and VBA language)
- Solid working experience with analytical/BI and data visualisation tools such as Tableau, PowerBI, Cognos. Alteryx & HTML
- Strong written and oral communication skills and ability to present sophisticated issues in a concise and logical format to SLT and wider team
