In your new role, you will work in the dynamic Regulatory Projects team. Your role is integral to providing technical solutions and maintaining architectural integrity of our systems in order to ensure Optus meets a range of regulatory obligations. To achieve this, you will need to meet with representatives from government agencies and internal groups and vendors. You will be responsible for developing innovative technical solutions to address customer requirements and government initiatives, taking ownership for coordinating all the inputs to the architectural design and supporting these designs through its life cycle.
**You must be a Citizen of Australia with at least 10 years residency for Security Clearance purposes**
The day to day

Lead Architectural design and documentation of solutions for Optus to meet its obligations under the Telecommunications Act

Design, develop and maintain regulatory solutions that could be for any of the Optus products or offerings in the market

Be the point of contact for support to government agencies using regulatory solutions provided by Optus

Manage and lead small project teams to deliver solutions

Conduct security risk assessments and develop and maintain the security architecture to protect regulatory systems

Own the full development life cycle for solutions, tackle problems, innovate, and evaluate technical alternatives
Why you are our next Senior Architect - Regulatory Systems?

Extensive experience in crafting solutions and solid understanding of security incident frameworks (ISM)

Experience in providing a high level of technical advice and expertise to support, identify and maintain architectural integrity of a secure network environment

Broad and comprehensive experience in infrastructure solution design, automation and maintenance.

Software engineering in one or more of the following: Python, Go, Rust

Detailed understanding of Data Networks, Servers and Storage technologies and security technologies
