Senior Consultant, 5G Security

NCS – a leading regional B2B digital services company – is partnering the National University of Singapore (NUS) in a joint research lab to conduct research and development in next generation cyber security technologies driven by emerging digital transformations based on AI, 5G, cloud computing, robotics, autonomous vehicles and so on.

 

We are looking for a candidate who is comfortable with technical details, familiar with project & product management concepts, has good business acumen and able to conduct market research to understand the opportunities and trends in the topic domain. The candidate will work closely with technical researchers and data scientists and take on the responsibility to keep in view the business perspective to align R&D and innovation with business directions.

 

A hybrid role overlapping technical and business. The ideal candidate has prior experience in cybersecurity concepts, understand project management and is passionate about emerging technology topics such as AI, 5G use cases, robotics, autonomous technology and etc. Candidates with experience in roadmaps and strategy and/or candidates experience in innovation and seeking innovation/research grants will have an advantage.

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Hybrid role overlapping technical and business
  • Keep in touch with trends and market offerings in emerging technology domain of interest
  • Take on a commercial perspective regarding go-to-market for transiting R&D topics to commercial offerings
  • Play a key role in developing programme plans in emerging technology domain of interest
  • Participate in engagements relating to commercializing and go-to-market in emerging technology domain of interest
  • Coordinate with various parties involved to develop project proposals, plans and budget
  • Drive clear results of projects in alignment with strategy and vision
  • Track and report individual project progress against plans and established KPIs
  • Coordinate communication across projects, identify and manage interdependencies among projects
  • Acquire necessary knowledge and expertise to become the in-house subject matter expertise in the emerging technology domain of interest
  • Identify external collaborators (for funding, co-innovation, go-to-market and etc.) in alignment with strategy and vision
     

Requirements:

  • Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Technology, or equivalent
  • At least 10 years of working experience
  • Comfortable with technical details, familiar with project & product management concepts
  • Prior experience in cybersecurity concepts, understand project management and is passionate about emerging technology topics such as AI, 5G use cases, robotics, autonomous technology and etc.
  • Candidates with experience in roadmaps and strategy and/or candidates experience in innovation and seeking innovation/research grants will have an advantage
  • Professional certificates in Cybersecurity, Programme Management, Project Management or Business Analyst desired but not mandatory
