Responsibility:

 

  • Manage system changes through change request process & provide status reports to the relevant parties.
  • Ensure 24 x 7 sufficiency of work force for every shift with considerations such as staff leaves, absences, and other human resource related logistics.
  • Respond promptly to incidents, investigate & provide temporary &/or permanent resolution of incidents escalated. Provide timely status updates to relevant parties and management.
  • Monitor & measure the performance & availability of systems proactively; implement corrective actions identified to improve performance & availability.
  • Monitor and adhere to the agreed service levels, document & maintain the configuration of the systems; provide regular reporting to relevant parties.
  • Ensure systems always comply with security policies, including vulnerability assessment, patching, and hardening.
  • Primary contact point to provide guidance and advisory to the team.
  • Monitor team productivity by periodic tracking of performance.
  • Identifies Improvement opportunities and where necessary logs and drives SIP and recommends repeatable tasks or any other mundane activities to for Automations.
  • Provides relevant scheduled and/or ad-hoc reports.
  • Ensure that the Team complies with Singtel Security Policies & Procedures at all times and has clear understanding of Fraud awareness.
  • ITIL Foundation certified, familiar with ISO 9001/27001 and participated in system audits.
  • Working on shift rotation for 24x7 support.

 

1 ) Quality Management System

1.1.3 Ensuring the integration of the quality management system requirements into the organization’s business processes.

1.1.4 Promoting the use of the process approach and risk-based thinking.

1.1.5 Communicating the importance of effective quality management and of conforming to the quality management system requirements.

1.1.6 Ensuring that the quality management system achieves its intended results.

1.1.7 Engaging, directing and supporting persons to contribute to the effectiveness of the quality management system.

1.1.8 Promoting improvement of the quality management system.

1.1.9 Supporting other relevant management roles to demonstrate their leadership as it applies to their areas of responsibility.

1.1.9.1 Demonstrates leadership and commitment with respect to customer focus by ensuring that:

1.1.9.2 Customer and applicable statutory and regulatory requirements are determined, understood and consistently met;

1.1.9.3 The risks and opportunities that can affect conformity of products and services and the ability to enhance customer satisfaction are determined and addressed; and

2 ) Information Security Management System

 

2.1 Responsible for duties and functions as stipulated in Operations, Human Resource, Purchasing and Management Procedures of the firm’s Information Security Management System and:

2.1.1 Ensure the information security policy and the information security objectives are established and are compatible with the strategic direction of the organization.

2.1.2. Ensure the integration of the information security management system requirements into the organization’s processes.

2.1.3 Ensure that the resources needed for the information security management system are available.

2.1.4 Communicate the importance of effective information security management and conforming to the information security management system requirements.

2.1.5 Ensure that the information security management system achieves its intended outcome(s).

2.1.6 Provide supporting personnel to contribute to the effectiveness of the information security management system.

2.1.7 Promote continual improvement.

2.1.8 Support other relevant management roles to demonstrate their leadership as it applies to their areas of responsibility. 

2.1.9 Delegate authority to each team to enforce the security in their area of work.

Minimum Qualification

Minimum Diploma Computer Information Systems or related field. OR Degree Computer Information Systems or related field.

 

Experience and Skill Requirements

Work Experience

  • At least 5 years of relevant experience within complex IT environments including System management and delivery center.
  • Candidate is required to work in a 24x7 shift rotation environment.
  • Team management experience, a minimum of 1 years’ experience as Shift/Team Lead role for a large team in 24x7 operations
  • Good understanding of the incident management, escalation and BAU process.

Technical / Professional Skills

  • Primary skills of the resources will be on Linux and Unix OS.
  • Depth knowledge of Unix, Linux server support, designing, troubleshooting and storage implementation.
  • Experience in risk-based systems running on Unix/Linux platforms.
  • Knowledge and expertise of OS clustering partitioning and virtualization.
  • Performance, tuning and capacity planning for physical and virtual servers
