Make an Impact by:
- Perform rotating 12hr shift work in a 24x7 Network Operation Center (NOC) environment providing network surveillance for Singtel co-invested submarine cable systems, proactively identifying service anomaly, assessing potential impact, and initiating timely escalation and remediation to maintain high network availability
- Drive incident management for submarine cable faults impacting capacity owners with Cable Landing Stations (CLS) and equipment vendors
- Position as the central operational focal point for multi-stakeholder incident coordination, ensuring clear, timely, and structured communication of incident notifications, progress updates, and restoration timelines to capacity owners and internal leadership
- Oversee planned maintenance activities across submarine cable infrastructure during the planned window providing progressive update to the capacity owners and the internal stakeholders
- Deliver clear shift operational reporting ensuring operational transparency, continuity between shifts, and clear escalation of outstanding issues
- Ensure strict adherence to IMDA’s regulatory requirements, overseeing the timely and accurate submission of submarine cable fault reports and ensuring compliance with IMDA directives and reporting obligations
Skills for Success:
- Nitec/higher Nitec qualification from Telecommunications Engineering, Electrical Engineering or related fields
- General knowledge: IP networking protocols & optical transmission technologies
- Strong adherence to SOP and is structured in all correspondences
- Proficient in Microsoft 365 tools
- Ability to work independently with minimum supervision and adapt to a dynamic NOC working environment
- Customer-oriented and able to collaborate well with both internal/external stakeholders
- Team player with strong interpersonal skills
