The Senior Finance Manager - Record to Report (RTR) will lead and drive the implementation of shared services with the integration of organization’s culture to support the operations of multiple business units in Singapore as well as other international entities of the Group. The role involves hiring and setting up a brand-new shared services operation with team size of 14. He/ She will be involved in preparing and posting journal entries, bank reconciliations, preparation of monthly management reports and annual financial statements, balance sheet reconciliations, and monthly schedules.

 

Our mission is to strengthen and elevate the Record-To-Report (RTR) Team’s foundational skills, lay the foundation for the transition from a transactional centre to a knowledge-based, data-analytic-enabled operations. We aim to Simplify, Standardize and Scale all RTR processes to enhance productivity and scalability, i.e., do better and smarter by leveraging simplified business process excellence and automation technologies.


Make an Impact by:

  • Lead the establishment of an offshore (Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia) finance shared services centre. 
  • Manage GL accounting functions under a shared services centre for all business units in Singapore and international sales offices. 
  • Manage a team of finance specialists and oversee all aspects full-cycle month-end closing.
  • Define and agree SLAs with key stakeholders, including KPIs, and manage performance.
  • Proactively manage and monitor overall shared services centre performance to drive accuracy and timeliness of all deliverables; including orchestrating all month-end close activities.
  • Maintain strong controls to ensure compliance with all group policies, tax, and other statutory requirements.
  • Continuously structure, standardise and optimise financial processes and systems for the business and shared service centre.
  • Take charge of and inspire a team to provide high-quality services within stipulated turnaround times.
  • Supporting the Auditor, Controller and other financial professionals as needed. 

 

Skills for Success

  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent qualified in a business/ commercial, discipline; or professional accounting qualification or strong technical accounting background
  • 15+ years’ experience in financial accounting ideally in a large corporate organization; of which at least 10 years of people management experience.
  • Proven deep understanding and experience across diverse areas of financial accounting, ranging from management of day-to-day operational accounting issues to strategy formulation and executive decision support
  • Proven experience in leading and coaching a team of senior specialist finance team who have expertise in their various and diverse technical areas.
  • Proven change management, customer relationship, influence and negotiation skills are also essential.
  • Ability to work in an environment with constant change and diverse challenges in a competitive market, whilst playing a major role in the development of the growth strategy 
  • Strong project management skills with ability to manage and prioritize a wide range of projects and issues to meet demanding reporting deadlines. 
  • Experience working in SAP environment and hands-on experience with Blackline and RPA for financial close and reconciliation processes are a plus.
