Role Summary:
The Senior Information Security Specialist plays a key role in supporting Singtel Singapore Cyber Security ecosystem through hands-on technical execution. This role partners with business stakeholders to understand access requirements and ensure alignment with security controls.
The role involves
- Supporting and ensuring the uptime of tools used within CISO Singtel Singapore, Cyber Security Team.
- Collaborating with various technical teams in Singtel Singapore to ensure delivery of the outcome, on time and on budget.
- Assessing the adequacy and effectiveness of assigned technology stack(s) against related IT controls and policies, regulatory obligations, Singtel Group cybersecurity policies and principles while balancing business objectives as well.
How You will Make An Impact:
- Validate effectiveness of security tools managed by CISO Singtel Singapore, Cyber Security Engineering
- Supporting and ensuring adequacy of Cyber Security posture for security tools managed by CISO Singtel Singapore, Cyber Security Engineering
- Continuous review of current technology stack being managed is fit for use and cost effective.
- Deploy new technology stack managed by the team where applicable to ensure fit for us and cost effectiveness.
1. Engineering:
- Expand scope of various security systems such as but not limited to EDR, DAM, SIEM, SOAR, UEBA and Privileged Access Management where required to increase visibility of the tools
- Deliver new security tools to uplift overall security posture of Singtel Singapore
- Ensure that SOPs are documented, performed and in compliance with relevant security policies and standards
- Subject matter expert for assigned technology stack(s), providing guidance to the team on managing the technologies including optimizing performance and capacity.
- Work with stakeholders in IT and Enterprise to uplift coverage for assigned technology stack(s) where applicable
- Work with the various SMEs of the various security systems managed by Cyber Engineering or other technical SMEs to ensure delivery of outcomes including tracking of the tasks required to meet the outcome
- Engage relevant teams and/or vendors to diagnose and rectify technical problems where necessary
- Ensure documents or processes required as part of project delivery methodology is adhered to
- Support and provide inputs to design of technology stack(s) as subject matter expert so that it is fit-for-use, conforms to security best practices and is cost effective.

- Maintain strategic vendor partnerships, relevant education and certification.
- Complete relevant education and training as required.
- Keep abreast of relevant technology and cyber threat landscape.
Skills for Success:
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Cyber Security, Computer Engineering, or a related discipline
- A minimum of 3 to 6 years of relevant experience, with at least 2 years focused on cybersecurity in telco operations, network environments, or enterprise IT within the telecommunications domain including minimally 3 years hands-on experience in designing, administration or deployment of IT infrastructure components including implementing best practices like security hardening
- Experienced in application hosting and operations across both on-premises systems and multi-cloud environments including AWS and Azure
- Working IAM knowledge such as Active Directory, Multi-factor authentication
- Good analytical and communication skills
- Possess initiative with positive working attitudes and customer services oriented
- Strong teamwork, communication and interpersonal skills
- Independent and goal-oriented
- Have knowledge on CIS Controls or other Cyber Security frameworks.
- Good understanding of Change Management processes
