As a Senior Infra Engr (System Lead) , the broad area of your job responsibilities will cover the following: 


  • Plan, participates and direct a team of System Engineers in the delivery of Infrastructure services (Systems) according to SOP to meet prescribed SLA.
  • Perform system design, configuration and recommendation.
  • Project manage for ad-hoc on-boarding and tech refresh project.
  • Lead and participates in technical research and development to enable continuing innovation within the infrastructure.
  • Lead research initiatives for the development of advanced and automated approaches for system administration to improve on service quality, stability and capacity.
  • Supervise performance monitoring, preventive maintenance and patch management of servers to ensure optimum performance.
  • Ensure daily rectification of operational issues and change requests are implemented within expected service level agreement.
  • Responsible to work with System team members on the review of systems architecture and design, troubleshooting, as well as standardization of design.
  • Generate regular performance report and ad-hoc incident report to management and customer.
  • Manage the documentation of configuration standards, troubleshooting steps, and platform designs.
  • Manage systems reviews for security, performance, and availability.
  • Support audit activities conducted by internal and external parties and ensure timely follow up as well as closure of the required action items.
  • Support incident and problem identification and resolution. Coordinate the activities with infrastructure counterparts (Facilities, Network, Security) to ensure timely resolution within the service SLA.
  • Ensure timely escalation of incidents and problems and timely recovery of the service for Priority 1 and2 incidents.


Ideal candidate should possess the following:


  • At least 8 years of relevant working experience in an enterprise ICT Infrastructure with exposure and hands-on experience in management, consultation, support and operations.
  • Proven track record of managing a team of systems engineers and day-to-day operations.
  • Minimum Diploma or Degree or other equivalent qualification.
  • Experience in the large-scale deployment/management of three or more of the following technologies,
    • Hypervisor/Hyperconverged Infrastructure
    • Directory Services Administration
    • Enterprise Software Distribution
    • Endpoint protection
    • Enterprise SAN and Backup
  • Knowledge/Experience in the following technologies is an added advantage.
    • Automation
    • Public Key Infrastructure (PKI)
    • Privileged Identity Management
  • Basic understanding of enterprise security best practices preferred.
  • Preferably possess Linux Administration, troubleshooting skills and experience with Linux Operating Systems
  • Knowledge of OS/Application security hardening.
  • Demonstrate excellent verbal and written skills to communicate effectively.
  • Basic Network troubleshooting skills and experience with management and configuration of networking devices (switches, routers, firewalls) is advantageous.
  • Possess good knowledge of project management, analytical methodologies, and IT Operational best practices.

  • Able to work independently and deliver results within specified deadlines.
  • Possess relevant professional certification.
