The role is responsible for developing the Automation and Autonomous Network (AN) Strategy and Architecture. There is an opportunity to mobilize and orchestrate with officers across the different engineering units within Singtel and its Associates. This includes working with CTOs and CIOs across the various business units to adopt Automation practices and tools.
Automation enhances network intelligence and performance, enables new services, improves network quality, and reduce service disruptions, thereby achieving the goals of enhancing customer experience, optimizing network monetization and improving O&M efficiency.
The successful applicant will be AN Practice coach to systematically guide and support the Singtel and its Associates in their AN journey, which includes AN Level assessment, gap analysis, solution design, and implementation.

The role will be responsible for the establishment of the Automation Centre of Excellence (COE), including
- Support in building and nurturing an Automation Centre of Excellence (CoE)
- Develop AN strategies and blueprint in accordance to TM Forum
- The AN blueprint shall encompass
- AN Map
- AN Levels
- Key Effectiveness Indicators (KEIs)
- Target Architecture
- Drive end-to-end service quality review and operation process improvements.
- Interact with Engineering and Operation teams to improve performance, SLA/OLA, operational KPIs/metrics and other operations-related transformation initiatives
- Identify capabilities and provide guidance, mentor, training, and problem-solving assistance
- Enable business units and functions in leveraging Automation capabilities effectively
- Automation Design and Development, and Maintenance:
- Design Automation solutions for business use cases, encompassing both existing and new systems and processes
- Support in managing vendors to achieve defined delivery and operations objectives
The candidate may be asked to participate and assist the other COEs, including IP & Broadband and Mobile Core & FMC.
Skills for success
- Degree in Computer Science/Engineering or relevant disciplines
- 10+ years of Telco architecture experience, with specific experience and expertise in Operational Support Systems (OSS) solutions.
- Minimum of 5 years in an Enterprise Architect role
- Practical knowledge of TMF and ITIL application processes and implementation
- Have a solid technical background in both the design/build and operational aspects of telecommunications and IT infrastructure.
- Operational experiences in Network/Systems operations, Network security, Software patch Management, Change Management, Problem Management, Incident Management
- Expertise with Tableau dashboards, Operation Support System (OSS), Robotic Process Automation (RPA), Automation/Orchestration software
- Experience in software development, system integration, cloud and cyber security
- Experience in product management and business process transformation
- Experience in engineering management
- Experience in DevOps practices
- Communication and influence with stakeholders for necessary approval and buy-in by providing strong and clear justification for proposed changes
