We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Senior Manager to join our Group Chief Financial Officer, Business Management team. As the Senior Manager, you will oversee Singtel’s investments in regional associates, safeguarding interest of Singtel and enhancing shareholder’s values.

Make an Impact by:

• Spearheading business and financial analysis with geographical focus on India, Africa and other South Asian subsidiaries/associates including Sri Lanka and Bangladesh:
  • Financial reporting – Monthly and quarterly financial reporting.
  • Financial forecast and budgeting – Periodic financial forecasts and trending, outer year projections, intrinsic valuation and annual operating plan (AOP) budgeting
  • Operational performance reporting – Tracking and analysis of key operational metrics.
• Reviewing and contributing to analysis of business proposals, M&A transactions, corporate finance actions etc with recommendations to Singtel senior management.
• Assisting to strengthen shareholder’s relationships (Singtel, shareholder’s partners and Bharti Airtel) and collaborations within Singtel’s corporate functions including Treasury, Tax, Investors Relations.
• Supporting the operational requirements of assigned Joint Ventures (JV), including briefings, administrative and logistics support to JV Board representatives for all Board & Board sub-committee meetings (e.g. Audit Committee, Nomination & Remuneration Committee)
• Providing support on key strategic matters at both the JV and Singtel level.
• Driving market intelligence and competitor’s analysis of Indian telecom market and other adjacent industries including digital businesses.
• Monitoring, analyzing and acquiring a good understanding of Indian regulatory trends and developments for key strategic decision-making.
• Supporting and collaborating with Group Finance for accounting matters. Lead engagement with Singtel auditors on key events/issues pertaining to Bharti Airtel.

 
Skills for Success: 

• Degree in Business, Accounting/Finance, Economics or any quantitative major
• 6 to 8 years working experience in regional business and/or financial planning & analysis functions
• Highly analytical and sensitive to numbers
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills including engagement and presentation to senior management
• Ability to build good rapport and collaborative working relationships with all levels of staff
• Critical thinking and ability to engage in strategic discussion
• Ability to work independently and play a hands-on role and exercise flexibility in a challenging and fast-paced environment
• A strong team player
• Well organized and meticulous
• An added advantage for possessing knowledge of accounting standards, financial matters, business valuation, financial modelling etc
