Overview:
The candidate shall be responsible for overseeing all aspects, EHS programs customized for data centre construction and operations, ensuring safe and sustainable work environments. He/she need to conduct risk assessments and hazard analyses to identify potential safety, health, and environmental risks, and establish mitigation strategies to prevent incidents. He/she will ensure compliance with EHS regulations, standards (e.g., OSHA, ISO 45001), and local laws across multiple regions, maintaining required permits and documentation.
Make an Impact by
- Lead incident investigations, identifying root causes and implementing corrective and preventive actions in line with regulatory reporting requirements.
- Design and deliver EHS training for employees and contractors on safety procedures, emergency response, and hazard management.
- Maintain and test emergency response plans, including drills for fire, chemical, and natural disaster scenarios.
- Oversee environmental management, covering waste disposal, pollution prevention, and energy conservation to promote sustainability.
- Implement contractor safety programs through audits, pre-qualification assessments, and compliance monitoring.
- Lead EHS audits and continuous improvement initiatives aligned with corporate goals and local regulatory standards.
- Provide regional EHS support to ensure consistent implementation and performance across data centre sites.
Skills for Success
- Bachelor’s Degree in Environmental Health & Safety, Occupational Safety, or related discipline.
- Professional EHS certification (e.g., ISO 45001 Lead Auditor, NEBOSH, or equivalent).
- Minimum 10 years of EHS management experience, preferably in industrial or data centre environments.
- Strong knowledge of ISO 14001, ISO 45001, and APAC-specific EHS regulations.
- Proven ability to manage audits, assess risks, and drive compliance across multi-site operations.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills with the ability to influence stakeholders.
- Skilled in analytical thinking, decision-making, and problem resolution.
- Demonstrated ability to work under pressure in fast-paced, complex environments.
- Commitment to continuous improvement and sustainable operational practices.
- Fluency in English; proficiency in other APAC languages is an advantage.
