Main Duties and Responsibilities:


The primary duties and responsibility of the M&E Project Manager is to oversee the planning and execution of building and M&E projects to ensure that the agreed project scope, schedule, process & procedure, quality & workmanship, and cost are delivered professionally and cost effectively by a team of consultants and engineering/contracting company(ies).


The job scope includes, but not limited to the following:


  • Review and get familiarized with all M&E related project design & contract documentation, contractor submissions, procurement documents and tender packages, shop drawings, RFIs, etc and ensure that they are in accordance to Singapore Standards, TIA 942 Tiering Specifications and Singtel specific requirements.
  • Attend and participate in all relevant project review meetings, site meetings, design meetings and other project relevant discussions/meetings.
  • Provide regular reports to his/her immediate supervisor, including photos and comments on the QA/QC process for M&E constructions
  • Act as the key person to liaise with Consultants, Main- & Sub-Contractors, Internal Stakeholders/Users, Customers and Vendors who are involved in the Engineering, Operations, Testing and Commissioning aspects of the project and to ensure timely & smooth delivery by QA/QC to meet key milestones set
  • Drive & coordinate the review of shop drawings from contractors with consultant’s design documentation
  • Prepare Project Update in relation to all M&E matters
  • Coordinate and follow up on all comments from Internal user/stakeholders
  • Tracking of work status which needs follow up actions.
  • Conduct regular site checks on installation method, workmanship and quality assurance process of consultants & contractors to ensure compliance to specifications.
  • Work with internal stakeholders and to facilitate approval on the Work Notifications and other necessary documentations
  • Provide technical and knowledge based supports to Facilities Management Team pertaining to building facilities and engineering solutions.
  • Plan & execute cyclical replacement of M&E facilities with an aim to achieve Green Mark Certification for all newly replaced M&E facilities.
  • Active participation in core values and staff survey activities.


The ideal candidate should have/be:


Academic Qualifications

  • Bachelor Degree in Electrical and/Mechanical Engineering, quantity surveying or building and construction related courses, or its equivalent, preferably registered member of the Board of professional Engineers.

Working Experience

  • Applicants with substantial relevant experience in managing M&E projects will be preferred.

Personal traits

  • Able to work with minimal supervision while meeting tight deadlines. Must be a good team player.
  • Good customer focus attributes.
  • Good at multiple stakeholder management.
  • Good interpersonal and negotiation skills.
  • Must be able to perceive changing needs and environment with astuteness and rapidly formulate and implement appropriate and effective counter measures.
