Project Portfolio Management Office (PPMO) is part of the Group IT Business Partner (BP) Group. The IT BP Group comprises of IT project managers who deliver projects to both Singtel Group IT and Singtel Consumer Singapore Group.

 

This role is required to undertake consulting, oversight, and quality assurance across Singtel Group IT to support creation and execution of IT Governance strategy and standards; Accountable for planning, leading and executing multiple key projects or programs all in order to enable governance and quality assurance within Singtel Group IT.

 

Excellent communications and people management skills are mandatory for this role. Project management and change management experience will have an added advantage. The successful candidate must be detail-oriented, able to work on multiple tasks with conflicting priorities and have working experience in medium to large sized matrix organisation.

 

Responsibility:

  • Support the development and implementation of Project Management Standards
  • Maintain project managers’ on-boarding procedures and associated guides
  • Collate project data and produce readable, accurate and timely project metrics/status/achievement reports to IT and Business stakeholders
  • Ensure currency and accuracy of project data in enterprise project portfolio management tool, for the purpose of Group reporting
  • Evaluate project data, identify projects requiring intervention, escalate in a timely fashion to higher authority and/or implement corrective actions
  • Produce weekly project progress reporting submission reports
  • Coach project managers on department processes, templates, tools, standards
  • Drive and implement project documents repository for centralised retrieval
  • Understand and drive adoption of Project Management Methodology, Quality Management and Testing methodologies by Project Teams.
  • Provide advisory to Project Teams on best practices and governance relating to Project Management, Quality Management and Testing.
  • Provide training and support to enable Project Teams adopt existing Project Management Methodology, Quality Management and Testing methodologies.
  • Collaborate with relevant parties to ensure Quality Assurance and perform Quality Control for selected projects.
  • Oversee internal audit of quality management and compliance of standards approved by top management
  • Measure the effectiveness of existing Project Management and Quality Management methodologies framework.
  • Perform gap analysis to identify areas of improvement for our existing Project Management and Quality Management methodologies.
  • Continue to improve existing our Project Management and Quality Management methodologies to achieve operational excellence using Lean Six Sigma and other tools
  • Act as a department lead in terms of Quality Management
  • Coach project teams on quality assurance & control matter
  • Builds relationships with internal & external stakeholders and resolves any issues associated with the consulting and/or project delivery activity

 

 

Requirement:

  • Degree in Information Systems or equivalent
  • PMP, PGMP or PRINCE2 Certified
  • PgMP Certified preferred
  • LSS
  • BPM
  • 5+ years in a project/program management role delivering IT-based projects, in accordance with PMI standards and based on standard SDLC methodology
  • 5+ years’ experience with Change Management
  • 3+ years in governance, quality assurance, audit function
  • Strong project/programme management knowledge from telecommunications environment or online/internet provider
  • Analysis skills, experience with data
  • Producing standard IT project management deliverables (including project schedule in MS Project)
  • Competent user of Microsoft Project, Power Point, SAP, Visio & Word
  • Expert user of Microsoft Excel
