Reporting to the Senior Director, Group Portfolio Management, this role will require the candidate to deliver high quality industry and company-specific analysis, contribute to analysis and project management on transactions, review operational and financial performance of Singtel Group and peers, and help develop strategic insights to drive one of the team’s top-priorities – strategic initiatives.

 

Make an Impact by:

 

 

  • Be part of the core due diligence team that ensures successful deal execution to completion.
  • Project manage a cross-functional team of subject matter experts in investment / divestment process.
  • Develop detailed financial models for investment / divestment targets.
  • Maintain an “outside-in” view of the Group’s financial and share-price performance, including but not limited to understanding Singtel’s growth plans and key business drivers, keeping abreast of key deals / transactions and tracking analyst reports.
  • Provide support in formulating a strategic portfolio review & execution plan, which aligns with business and Group objectives mid to long term. Feeds into Singtel’s Senior Management Strategic Workshops
  • Work in a team to run ad-hoc strategic projects including gathering, verifying and analysing information and independently formulating views.

 

Skills for Success: 

 

  • About 4-6 years of related investment banking, M&A/ financial consulting, VC/ PE, restructuring experience.
  • Emphasis on analytics, finance and economics.
  • Financial modelling (DCF) experience and good understanding of valuation methodologies
  • Business Analytics and Insights - collecting, evaluating and analysing data to make informed decisions (use of Bloomberg / Cap IQ / other relevant databases)
  • Business Strategy planning and execution
  • Flexible, ability to perform in unstructured or ambiguous situations, and adapt as business evolves.
  • Must have a strong ability to multitask and work at a fast pace to adapt to the latest changes in business conditions.
  • Creativity and innovation towards problem solving.
  • Strong and clear communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently with initiative to execute, and manage multiple tasks simultaneously, often with demanding timelines.
  • Attention to details.
