Overview:

Reporting to the Senior Director, Risk Strategy & Assurance, you will be supporting the reinvigoration and upskilling of the overall risk management culture and processes for the group across business units. The role includes leading or supporting group-wide initiatives and partnering with the business directly to ensure programs are managed effectively via incorporation into the respective business processes.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Enhance risk management culture, deliver step-change in risk monitoring capabilities, goal alignment and execution to deliver immediate and long-term goals and objectives.
  • Implement the risk policies and standards and ensure effective implementation across Business units and functions.
  • Contribute to implementing an Enterprise Risk Management system by providing inputs such as risk profiling, practice guidance, quality monitoring dashboards, and risk escalation principles.
  • Develop/Update appropriate materials, facilitate and conduct training, workshops, and webinars for internal stakeholders to educate and drive awareness of various Risk Program
  • Facilitate the preparation/update of risk registers and risk reports to summarise the key risks and mitigations. The process entails identifying and assessing risk areas where gaps exist in policies or procedures and implementing appropriate mitigation plans.
  • Support ad-hoc projects such as Partnering with stakeholders on scenario planning exercises and validating risk and measurement models.


The ideal candidate should possess:

  • Degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, Economics, IT or Engineering.
  • Minimally 8-12 years of experience in Risk Management
  • Good to have an in-depth understanding of the telecommunications / ICT industry. These include the technology risks, competition and transformation developments in the telecommunications/ ICT industry, environmental hazards, and regulatory risks.
  • Proven experience with defining, implementing, and drafting policies/standards about risk management will be preferred.
  • Proven track record with transformation & change leadership program
  • Experience in working in a challenging business environment with proven capabilities in organising, summarising, and presenting complex information
  • Proven track record with leading scenario planning exercises, implementing risk sensing capabilities and validating various risk and measurement models
  • Understanding of the telecommunications / ICT industry and the risks faced by the Singtel Group and its businesses
  • Deep knowledge of risk management and control concepts, leading risk management practices and standards (e.g. ISO 31000, COSO).
  • Knowledge of tableau and/or PowerBI 
  • Analytical and critical thinking.
  • Excellent stakeholder management and presentation skills
  • The role holder should be a strong team player with a positive attitude. 
  • Highly driven, autonomous, and resilient. 
  • Enjoy working in a dynamic and multi-cultural team and business environment.
  • Good communication (oral, written) and presentation skills 
  • Enjoy interacting with all levels of management.
  • Numerical programming skills, VBA, Python, MatLab, and/or C++
  • Knowledge of risk evaluation models such as Decision trees and Monte Carlo Simulations model
