Make an Impact by:

 

As Associate Director, Platform Program Management, you will be responsible for overseeing the holistic management of platforms within Singapore, including the customer front-end portal, orchestration engine (APIs orchestration), backend layer for delivery systems, and billing engines. Your role involves collaboration with various stakeholders, devising and assessing business cases for development funding, managing integrations with key BSS/OSS systems, and fostering a dynamic API ecosystem with potential business partners.  You will drive the various potential POCs with customers and negotiation of business cases, efforts sizing and oversee the overall implementation of the entire programme.

 

In addition, you will be the key person for Enterprise Unified Platform programme.

 

Key Responsibilities:

 

Platform Management:

  • Oversee the end-to-end management of platforms, ensuring seamless operations and continuous improvement.
  • Supervise the development and maintenance of customer front-end portals, orchestration engines, backend delivery systems, and billing engines.
  • New platforms like private instances and to run through relevant ISO or global certifications to ensure Enterprise Unified Platform is secured and safe for use.
  • Project manage possible group-wide platforms POCs and implementation of Enterprise Unified Platform instances.

 

Stakeholder Collaboration:

  • Collaborate with product managers to devise compelling business cases for development initiatives, assessing financial justifications.
  • Evaluate and strengthen business cases to justify costs and ensure optimal return on investment.
  • Work closely with network and IT teams to explore and implement integrations with key BSS/OSS systems.
  • Work with Associates (e.g. AIS, Optus etc) or other Telco partners for their localisation implementation assessment.

 

API Ecosystem Development:

  • Identify and evaluate potential business partners to establish an API ecosystem.
  • Facilitate the creation of Telco or TMF APIs for co-creating new products and platform services with partners.
  • Evaluate potential federation partners and collaborations to on-board Empower API platform as bolt-ons.
  • Strategise the Platform API strategy for mid and long term.

 

Financial Analysis:

  • Conduct financial analysis to assess the viability and profitability of platform development initiatives.
  • Develop financial models to support decision-making and optimize resource allocation.
  • Collaborate with finance teams to align financial objectives with overall business strategy.
  • Suggest or develop commercial models for potential platform revenues.

 

Success Outcome Metrics:

  • Track and measure success based on the number of APIs developed for the company.
  • Monitor the creation of new products and services resulting from the API ecosystem.
  • Establish and foster a vibrant ecosystem of partners.
  • Ensure close alignment and integration with Networks and IT departments.

 

Overall, the successful candidate will be a strategic leader with a deep understanding of API development, strong financial acumen, and the ability to drive successful platform initiatives while optimizing costs and ensuring financial viability.

 

Skills for Success:

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (e.g., Computer Science, Information Technology, Business Management).
  • Proven track record in program management, with at least 5-8 years of experience in overseeing complex platform initiatives.
  • Strong financial acumen and experience in assessing and strengthening business cases.
  • Experience in the current technologies, software and devices.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office/ O365, especially Power point and Excel.
  • Strong understanding of API development, orchestration, and platform management.
  • Demonstrated ability to create and critically assess compelling business cases for development projects.
  • Experience in managing budgets and financial aspects of programs.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for effective collaboration with product managers, network, IT, and business partners.
  • Proven ability to think strategically and align program goals with broader organizational objectives.
  • Track record of delivering successful outcomes, such as the creation of APIs, new products, and thriving partner ecosystems.
  • Experience leading cross-functional teams, fostering a collaborative and innovative work environment.
  • Ability to thrive in a dynamic and fast-paced environment, adapting to changes and driving initiatives forward.
