Job Summary:

Objective is to execute and support the vision and strategy for an effective and efficient Procurement Function in NCS to deliver value as a business partner to stakeholders within NCS and also internally to Procurement team.

 

The Senior Manager will lead and manage a team of Procurement Managers to support the sourcing and review of purchases across all businesses/ functional units in NCS focusing on delivering cost savings through Category Management, Project Buying, Sourcing/tender administration, and ensuring Procurement Governance and Compliance. 


Responsibilities: 

  • Partner Business users in strategic sourcing and negotiations during pre-bid and post-award 
  • Support Business users in strategic data requests and analytics
  • Regular post review of awards under Waiver of Competition as detective control
  • Review of purchase requests including sourcing and negotiations, governance and compliance
  • Support Business users in identifying opportunities to establish term contracts
  • Impart knowledge on relevant spend categories. Develop deep category expertise by regularly screening the market for trends and emerging technologies for ICT industry
  • Drive savings and other Procurement initiatives including cross functional collaborations  
  • Facilitate conflict resolution and take ownership for business case accountability and overall implementation for project for spend categories in scope
  • Ensure continuous productivity improvement through process improvement and enhancement in procurement strategies

 

The ideal candidate should possess: 

  • A recognized University Degree or MBA 
  • 12 years of industry experience in ICT, with at least 6 years in managerial capacity
  • Have knowledge of ICT and have experience working across different cultures and geographies
  • Have proven track record in tenders / RFP and supplier negotiations
  • Have proven ability to interface with supplier and internal stakeholders as and when required
  • Have cross functional / BU understanding of Products, Sales, Delivery
  • Analytical and market research skills
  • Domain expertise in Products and Project Procurement areas
  • Good interpersonal skills and stakeholder management
  • Able to communicate and work across all levels across the business
  • Strong project management skills
