Manager/Senior Manager, Strategy & Operations

POSITION SUMMARY

 

The Portfolio Management team under our Group Strategic Portfolio oversees the Group’s investments and operational activities in our portfolio companies. This role will report into the Head of Portfolio Management and provide portfolio management support on key activities in these companies (e.g. support for strategy development, annual operating budget and plans, tactical project-based support, and ensuring alignment with the Group for reporting, regulatory and management practices).

 
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES AND RESULTS

 

As a Manager/Senior Manager, your primary responsibility is to support key strategic and operational initiatives for Group Strategic Portfolio’s assets, as well as projects assigned at the Group level.

 

Key activities include (but are not limited to): -

1.

Develop plan for and drive implementation of key strategic and operational priorities (e.g. entry into new markets, competitive analysis, business transformation, etc).  

2.

Coordination of key operational matters for the business units supported (e.g. option plans, retention plans, stakeholder engagement).

3.

Participate in any transformation-related work – both in the ideation and execution of operational changes in the businesses.

4.

Provide quantitative analysis support to help develop, and refresh, the long-term operating plan of the digital assets.

5.

Manage engagement with top management and other senior stakeholders; including preparing materials to brief Group Management Committee and Board, coordinating with internal and/or external stakeholders to follow-up on key matters or for Group reporting purposes.

Bachelor’s Degree

 

Work Experience

  • 2-5 years’ work experience in strategy or management consulting
  • Experience in TMT companies
  • MBA/CFA/CPA

Technical / Professional Skills

 

  • Good business, financial, and investment instincts
  • Financial modelling
  • Analysing of financial metrics and models
  • Ability to structure and solve problems that are unfamiliar and complex, develop actionable recommendations, and present these concisely in slide or written form

 

Non-Technical / Soft Skills

  • Ability to work at a fast pace to adapt to the latest changes in business conditions
  • Strong and clear communication skills
  • Ability to work independently with initiative to execute, and manage multiple tasks simultaneously, often with demanding timelines
  • Confidence to engage with CXO- and Board-level stakeholders
  • Willingness to travel (post-COVID)
