Senior Performance Analyst

Optus is seeking a data-driven Senior Performance Analyst to drive eCommerce growth across all Consumer and Small Business product lines.

This role is critical in analysing performance trends, tracking key metrics, and developing actionable insights to optimise our eCommerce strategy. The ideal candidate will be highly skilled in forecasting, identifying gaps in plans, and ensuring data-driven decision-making to enhance team performance and digital sales growth.


The day to day

  • Performance Insights & Reporting – Analyse key trends, track performance, and provide insights to drive eCommerce growth.
  • Forecasting & Gap Analysis – Develop forecasts, identify gaps in plans, and create strategies for improvement.
  • Business Performance Reviews – Lead performance tracking, data storytelling, and reporting for leadership teams.
  • Growth & Strategy Execution – Support the delivery of eCommerce sales strategy and annual operating plan (AOP) targets.
  • Customer & Experience Optimization – Identify opportunities to enhance digital customer journeys and optimize eCommerce performance.
  • Stakeholder Engagement & Communication – Present data-driven insights in a compelling way to influence senior leadership.

What we’re looking for

  • Strong background in performance analysis, business intelligence, or consultancy (management consulting experience is a plus).
  • Ability to analyse data, identify trends, and communicate insights effectively through reports and presentations.
  • Experience in developing dashboards, reporting packs, and business insights at a leadership level.
  • Expertise in forecasting, sales tracking, and performance management in a digital or eCommerce environment.
  • Qualification in Commerce, Sales, Marketing, or a related field is preferred.
  • Proven ability to drive business results, optimise strategies, and influence decision-making at a senior level.
