Optus is an Australian telecommunications company, delivering more than 11 million services to our customers every day across mobile, broadband and digital solutions.

As a Senior Program Compliance Specialist, you'll partner with project teams to ensure regulatory obligations are properly identified, tracked, and governed, while maintaining program-wide visibility through centralised dashboards and reporting. You'll coach project managers, identify risks and dependencies, and work with stakeholders at all levels to drive consistent compliance outcomes. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced compliance professional to make a real impact by building compliance capability and shaping the future of compliance at Optus.

Your day to day will consist of

  • Partner with project teams across Optus to embed compliance frameworks, reviewing scope documentation to ensure all regulatory obligations are identified, tracked, and properly governed from day one
  • Drive compliance visibility by maintaining central dashboards that give real-time insights into project status, linking evidence to obligations, and tracking remediation actions across the entire program
  • Act as a compliance coach and challenger, working with project managers to apply the Standard Compliance Framework effectively while identifying overlaps, dependencies, and risks that could impact delivery
  • Collaborate with stakeholders at all levels to resolve conflicts in regulatory obligations, influence compliance outcomes, and build program-wide capability through clear communication and strategic problem-solving

What You Bring

  • Proven ability to influence and collaborate with stakeholders at all levels across the business
  • Deep understanding of compliance frameworks and how to implement them across complex programs
  • Strong analytical mindset with excellent attention to detail and evidence discipline
  • Exceptional communication skills – you can coach teams, challenge assumptions, and drive compliance outcomes
