This is a hands-on engineering role for someone who enjoys solving complex technical challenges, automating everything possible, and building scalable security platforms that enable faster and more effective threat detection and response.
What You’ll Do
- Design, build, and maintain enterprise SIEM and SOAR platforms that support critical cyber defence operations across the business.
- Onboard, normalise, and enrich security telemetry from a broad range of systems, ensuring high-quality data is available for threat detection and investigation.
- Develop automation workflows, integrations, and Python-based solutions that improve efficiency, reduce manual effort, and enhance response capabilities.
- Manage detection content, platform configurations, and automation deployments using Detection-as-Code, CI/CD, and engineering best practices.
- Partner closely with Cyber Defence and engineering teams to continuously improve platform performance, detection coverage, and automation effectiveness.
What makes you perfect
- Proven experience engineering and supporting enterprise SIEM and/or SOAR platforms within a security operations, cyber security, or platform engineering environment.
- Strong technical skills in log management, telemetry onboarding, security automation, and platform integration.
- Hands-on experience with scripting, API integration, and developing automated solutions that streamline security operations.
- Knowledge of cloud security logging, Microsoft 365 and Entra ID telemetry, and modern security monitoring practices.
- A collaborative, automation-focused approach, with strong problem-solving skills and a passion for continuous improvement and innovation.
