As a member of the Corporate IP Networks Tier 2 team, you will be primarily responsible for the provision of Tier 2 support and management for all Optus Enterprise IP Cloud based Network and Security Infrastructure and associated Management Systems associated with Off-Premises Cloud Providers. Secondary responsibilities include support and backfill of traditional IP and Security Technologies and infrastructure.

Your day in the life of a Senior Technical Specialist at Optus

  • The Management of Cloud and Network based Incidents in an Operations Environment
  • The control and management of all changes to Network and Cloud based services. (IP, Security, DNS, Load Balancers, Proxy)
  • Solution on-boarding all new cloud components that are integrated into the Cloud Provider presence.
  • Maintaining and updating documentation, and Job Aids for the Tier 1 team.
  • All core related issues with respect to the products and services that traverse the Enterprise network infrastructure utilising Cloud Service Providers
  • Contributing to Cloud product cycle programs.
  • Proactive management by conducting regular core analysis on IP Cloud Performance ensuring the health and integrity of the Corporate IP Network.

Your skills to pay the bills

  • Extensive experience working within a Network Operations Tier 2 Support role within IT or Telecommunications.
  • Cloud Networking experience with AWS and/or GCP service providers
  • Certified Cloud Security Professional (CCSP) or equivalent
  • Cisco CCIE/ CCNP / CCNA or equivalent
  • Fortinet Certified Expert (FCX) or equivalent
  • CheckPoint Certified Security Expert (CCSE) or equivalent
