We have a great opportunity for a seasoned professional to join our Engineering Aviation team. The role will focus on supporting the deployment, integration, and day-2 maintenance of advanced aviation systems.

As a Lead System Engineer, you will be responsible for the design, deployment, integration, and ongoing maintenance of aviation systems. You will act as a technical leader, ensuring the successful delivery of projects while maintaining system reliability through day-2 support operations. You will work closely with cross-functional teams, OEM, leveraging expertise in networking, servers, and systems engineering to drive high standards of performance and customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities:
Deployment and Integration:
•    Lead the design, configuration, and deployment of aviation systems across multiple aviation environments.
•    Ensure seamless integration of systems with existing aviation infrastructure, adhering to operational and regulatory requirements.
•    Collaborate with internal teams and external stakeholders to deliver solutions tailored to project needs.
Day-2 Maintenance and Support:
•    Establish and lead maintenance operations to ensure the continuous reliability of aviation systems.
•    Monitor system performance proactively, troubleshooting and resolving issues to minimize operational downtime.
•    Develop and implement maintenance schedules, including system upgrades, patches, and hardware replacements.
•    Respond promptly to incidents, conducting root cause analysis and delivering both temporary and permanent resolutions.
Infrastructure, Networking, and Systems:
•    Design, implement, and maintain robust infrastructure to support aviation operations, including servers, storage, and networking components.
•    Manage network infrastructure for aviation systems, focusing on LAN, WAN, and security requirements.
•    Implement disaster recovery and high-availability strategies to ensure continuous operation.
•    Oversee server configurations and system optimizations to enhance performance and reliability.
Leadership and Collaboration:
•    Provide technical leadership to teams, mentoring and guiding engineers to achieve project goals.
•    Liaise with aviation authorities, clients, and vendors to align deployment strategies and solutions with industry standards.
•    Drive innovation by evaluating emerging technologies and recommending enhancements to existing systems.
Documentation and Reporting:
•    Create and maintain comprehensive technical documentation, including network configurations, system architectures, and maintenance procedures.
•    Report regularly on system performance, incidents, and improvements to senior leadership and stakeholders.

Requirements 
Technical Expertise:
•    Degree in Engineering, IT, Computer Science, or a related field.
•    10–12 years of experience in system deployment, network engineering, server management, and system maintenance, preferably in aviation or a related field.
•    Deep knowledge of IT infrastructure, networking, servers, and security, including:
o    Network protocols (LAN, WAN, TCP/IP, OSPF, BGP, EIGRP, etc.).
o    Server architectures, virtualization, and storage solutions.
o    System monitoring and diagnostic tools.
o    Experience with aviation-related systems is an advantage.
Certifications:
•    Relevant certifications such as CCNP, CCIE, CISSP, or equivalent are highly desirable.
•    Server-related certifications (e.g., Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator, VMware Certified Professional) are a plus.
•    ITIL certification or experience with IT Service Management (ITSM) processes is advantageous.
Technology Skills:
•    Proficiency in networking equipment (Cisco, Juniper, Huawei, etc.).
•    Strong understanding of virtualized environments and cloud platforms.
•    Experience with server management, including Windows and Linux systems.
•    Familiarity with network automation tools (Python, Ansible) is a plus.
Soft Skills:
•    Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills in complex technical environments.
•    Effective communication and stakeholder management skills.
•    Ability to lead and collaborate with diverse teams in high-pressure situations.
