This job role is supported by the structured development programme for mid-career professionals under the TechSkills Accelerator (TeSA) initiative, led by Infocomm Media Development Authority (IMDA) in partnership with SkillsFuture Singapore (SSG) and Workforce Singapore (WSG). 

 

The programme aims to provide Singaporeans aged 40 and above with a tech-related job while being reskilled or upskilled.  Mid-career professionals will have the assurance of being employed in a paid job while attending structured Company-Led Training for in-demand tech skills. They will also gain experience in a tech role to tap into the good careers that the infocomm sector offers.

Software Engineer - #TeSA

 

Digital Technologies (DT) is front-runner within Singtel featuring self-organising Build-Run teams that take end-to-end ownership of a business domain and corresponding applications. DT works in an agile manner and is adopting a Tribes & Squads model in close cooperation with the rest of IT. Our teams take ownership across the lifecycle and our motto is “You build it, you run it, you own it, you love it!” 

 

Our new technology stack focusses on Spring Boot deployed on AWS and React / React Native on the client side. We aim to automate repetitive actions where possible. In the infra-side, we let AWS do the heavy-lifting for us so we can focus on delivering business value. We need your help to onboard more applications on to the same stack!

Responsibilities:
•    Contribute to Singtel's Build-Run team from design to go-live and beyond
•    Design and develop new components 
•    Work as part of a Build-Run team, including teams of external vendors, developers, and architects to guide and assist in delivering business requirements
•    Have close interaction with the business
•    Contribute to common development practices of Singtel DT

 

Requirements:
•    Qualification in STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics) or related discipline
•    Possess a challenger spirit and willing to learn in a dynamic environment
•    Customer focus and self-driven in engaging stakeholders
•    Good verbal, interpersonal and written communication skills
•    This programme is open only to Singaporeans
